SUNDAY SERVICE
GLORIFY GOD
REV. DR. E. AMRI
24/05/2026
Why is it so important to glorify God?
It is important to glorify God because even when Jesus came into this world, He came to glorify God.
He said this himself in John 17:4 “I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.
From the beginning, God intended all of His creation in heaven and on earth to give Him glory. But Adam and Eve messed up here on earth. However, God, in His infinite love, still reserved for each of us to live a life filled with love, joy, and peace in Christ Jesus. All we need to do is rely on the Holy Spirit in every step we take..
As children of God, we’re not here on earth by chance—we’re here to fulfill a purpose that will bring glory to God. Because that is the only way to bring many people out of the slavery of darkness and into His glorious light. Therefore, refuse to allow difficult situations you are going through make you think otherwise. Because you're not of this world. God chose you out of the masses; You are a new creation, a completely different breed.
How do we glory God?
1. By lightening the world
â€â€Jesus said in Matthew‬ â€5‬:â€16, ‬‬Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
What is light? Light is something that makes vision possible, something that illuminates and informs. Something that reveals and shows the way.
Something that gives us hope where there’s no hope. Something that brings love where there is hate
Simply put, the light is our Lord Jesus Christ, as He Himself said in
John 8:12, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.””
Jesus didn’t come with millions of angel to light the whole world, He was alone when He came and still He said those tremendous words.
2. By asking for anything in the name of Jesus.
Jesus said in John 14:13 “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”
3. By doing the will of God.
â€â€John‬ â€6‬:â€38 NKJV ‬‬For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
40.And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.””
