THIS IS GOD’S BID IDEA FOR YOU
What is your mission on earth?
What are you living for?
No matter what you do, God’s purpose is one for every one of us.
In every sphere and everywhere God putts you, his purpose is one.
Jesus told us to go to the whole world and preach the good news (gospel) to every creature - Mark 16:15.
Which good news did he actually mean?
The book of 2Corinthians 5:17-21 says;
“Therefore, if anyone is i in Christ, he is j a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” ESV
From the scripture, there are some vital facts which need to be understood;
• First he says if anyone is in Christ is a new creation. That means any person who is in Christ is a new person.
• The second fact is that the old person has passed away, and he is now brand new person. Then he said, both are from God – the old one was from God and the new one is also from God, but they are different. Why?
• In the third fact he says; because God through Christ he reconciled (restored to favor) that old person to himself by not counting his/her trespasses ( sins) against that person, the act which resulted unto a new being (person). So this is what makes the new person different from the old one.
• For in the fourth fact he says; God made Christ who new no sin to be sin for our sake, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Now, what does this means to me and to you?
First, in Christ I am a new creation and I am from above (from God).
Second, my sins are forgiven by God and I am restored to God’s favor.
Third, through and in Christ I am the righteousness of God.
Now, why did God do all these things to me? And what should I do with this to others?
In the Scripture he says God reconciled us to himself and gave that message of reconciliation to us as the ambassadors of Christ – God’s representatives to take that message to others in our spheres.
Therefore you and I are the ambassadors of God to take the message of good news to the people of the nations of the world, telling them what God has done to us and for us, and argue them to become the part of God’s family – the family of new creations in Christ.
Therefore, wherever you are, whether in business, politics, academic or etc. you are God’s ambassador and the ministry of reconciliation is in your hand.
That’s God’s original big idea for you! Glory to God!
