Christian Youth Network is a Faith based, non for profit making and Non Government organization, founded in 2006 by young people in Tabora Region, Registered at the National Level in January 2008 by the ministry of home affairs under the society’s ordinance of 1954 (year) with the certificate of registration SO.NO.14835.

It is headquartered in Dar-es-salaam and our activities are generally based in both urban and rural areas. CYN is current operating in three District namely Tabora, Dodoma and Arusha.

Our mission

is to become a catalyst of positive change, to bring youth groups together, and work with youth committed to fight against poverty, HIV/AIDS spread, Drugs abuse and general youth ethics.

Our Vision
is to see youth with improved standard of living

Our major aim

is to be achieved through hardworking and networking among different Youth organizations in Dar-es-salaam and also in other Regions of Tanzania as well as to promote youth development by fighting against all sorts of development constraints as well as offering relief Services to most vulnerable and marginalized groups
The objectives of CYN are: -

• To help improve quality of life of persons who are socio-economically vulnerable in the Tabora region through the establishment of educational and vocational rehabilitation programs for attaining self- sustaining economies.

• To organize programs that encourage the young people gain the self-esteem and feel of themselves that are capable of holding various positions of leadership like men.

• To educate young individuals on the risks pertaining the HIV/AIDS and Drugs Abuse; assist poor disabled persons and children from poor families

• To fight against environment destruction

• To support programs, which campaign education development for children and youths

• To support training and seminars for young male and female so that they can benefit from employment or from self-help business and assist them with income-generation project.
• To assist children from poor families with medical support

• To raise money as school fees for poor or from poor families

• To motivate Affordable and secure housing especially the low income youth

• To identify most poor people who need humanitarian assistance/ empowerment

• Spread the gospel of Jesus to all the people within Tanzania

• Conduct of research on various development issues

• To raise public awareness on the Good Governance and accountability

Psychosocial clubs for living or effected by HIV/ AIDS. They normal meet twice a month to be taught on heath issues, share various issues faces them, play games as well as sharing joint food, juice and frits to improve their health status.
