SUNDAY SERVICE | LISTENING TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
βNot by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,β says the Lord Almighty. β Zechariah 4:6
Last Sunday, we were greatly blessed by the Word of God through Brother Charles Washoma, who reminded us that the greatest miracle God has performed is not only saving us, but also making us His children and choosing to dwell within us through the Holy Spirit.
We are now the temple of God. Therefore, our lives are meant to be a holy dwelling place where the Holy Spirit lives freely. Everything we say, hear, and do should reflect the presence of the Holy Spirit who dwells within us.
Just as the Israelites encountered opposition while rebuilding the temple after returning from Babylon, we too face challenges in our journey of faith. Yet our victory does not come through our own strength or ability, but by allowing the Holy Spirit to lead and direct every step of our lives.
Listening to the Holy Spirit comes at a cost because He often leads us in ways that are completely contrary to the desires of our flesh. Nevertheless, it is through that obedience that we find peace, victory, and the perfect will of God.
Today, the Lord calls us not to grieve the Holy Spirit, but to learn to recognize His voice, listen to Him, and obey Him every day. It is through this that we will live lives that please God and fulfill His divine purpose for us.
