Today is Jal shilani Ekadashi

Jal Jhilani Ekadashi is deeply connected to the leelas (divine actions) of Bhagwan Shri Krishna, who once took the Gopis on a boat ride across the Yamuna River. As a fare for the ride, Shri Krishna asked the Gopis for yogurt. This festival symbolises the delicate balance of life's journey, driven by devotion and surrender to God.

Devotees honour this tradition by performing aarti, offering thal, and sailing the murti of Bhagwan Shri Krishna across water, just as the Gopis did, celebrating His divine pastimes. It is also a tradition to donate yogurt on this day.
