慈民宮創於昭和九年1934年,為宜蘭第一間地母廟,創建人楊李阿錦菜姑,民國23年地母托夢顯化,扶鸞請示爲地母雕一金身，民國31年設立圓覺社並移祀地母娘娘於宜蘭河畔茅屋，民國36年建紅磚木造廟宇，民國42年擴建成三合院樣式,民國90年改建成現今樣貌。
