Hi everybody!
If you can please read Galatians 1:10-24 & Acts 9:1-9
1. The church leaders were making claims that paul’s gospel message was a) derived from others, particularly from the Christian leaders in jerusalem or b) he came to his gospel message through his own reflection, reasoning and thinking. How does paul’s account of his conversion and early christian experience in these verses refute that?
2. No one is so good that they dont’ need the grace of the gospel, nor so bad that they can’t receive the grace of the gospel. How does Paul illustrate this in these verses?
3. How does Paul indicate that God’s grace was working in his life even before his conversion? In what ways can you see how God worked in your life before your conversion?
4. What happened to Paul in and after his conversion that facilitated his growth as a believer and equipped him for ministry? How do these factors apply to us?
5. Read v. 10 and v. 23-24. What results do you see here of a gospel-changed life?
6. Why has paul shared his testimony? How can paul give us guidance about why, when, and how to share our own testimony of God's grace with others?
Prayer:
Meditate, think, reflect on this truth in your prayer groups and throughout the week:
God set you apart from birth, He called you by his grace, he did all this according to his pleasure. He loves you just because he loves you. This is the only love we can be secure in, because it is the only kind of love we cannot possibly lose.
