法藏寺是北投區最大寺廟，日治時代為新北投曹洞宗布教所，現法藏寺由妙吉法師等創立於1928年，並在1960年代全面整修，成為北投當地重要信仰中心。寺廟建於北投近郊，四處風光十分宜人，環境清幽清淨。
