聖者巡境化鳥聲．善信聽聲心頭定

南竹仔脚的法主公信仰，源自福建泉州府安溪縣，清雍正（1678_1735）年間，縣內依仁里石竹人，周起挺，帶著法主公的神尊，從布袋嘴經鹽水港，與先後到來的翁、王家族在此結庄定居。

1914年，人丁漸旺、公事漸繁，需有較大空間辦理慶典醮儀，庄民共同決議起公厝。
1974年，法主公降駕指示，當時里長及全體庄民，出錢出力共建新廟。

主祀神尊：張（張聖真君）、蕭、章法主公
