廟宇沿革:
據傳明朝時由福建省福州府移民渡海來台時，奉請普庵祖師隨船護航，移民在北門嶼定居開墾，初時搭蓋草寮公厝奉祀。因八掌溪洪流沖崩，庄民四散，部分民眾移居公親寮，普庵祖師神像流落溪邊，為庄民發現後迎請至公親寮北邊的蠔殼崙安奉。清咸豐年間，曾文溪氾濫沖毀蠔殼崙，信徒方老守祖師請回於新吉的家中，至光緒19年 新庄仔（今新吉里）保安宮重建後，始將祖師安奉於保安宮。民國69年祖師顯化指示黃長榮及方梅花伉儷請來尊奉，並成立普庵堂濟世。
