In Ezekiel 36:26‭-‬27 we read: "I (God) will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them."

God is the master of do overs. When we believe in Jesus as God's Son and our Saviour the Holy Spirit begins the work of transforming not only our heart but also the way our mind perceives things. Suddenly we see sin for what it really is disobedience towards God.

In 1st John 1:9 we read this awesome fact: "If we confess our sins, He (Jesus) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Dear friends, when we repent of and confess our sins Jesus creates a do over for us that allows us to turn away from sin and towards the righteousness of God. Always remember Satan is our accuser but he can't accuse us of anything Jesus has forgiven.

Sa dami ng distraction, nawala ang iyong attention. Bes, ano nang kasunod? Baka sa halip na salvation, ika'y mapunta sa maling destination.

Kapatid, focus on your direction. Always turn to God, for He gives us clear instruction. 'Wag mong patulan ang temptation, bakit di mo subukan mag-PRAYparation?

Ang naglilingkod sa Diyos, dapat may dedication. Samahan ng inspiration, for sure it's a winning combination. In the end, ikaw ay kasali sa coronation."

In Mark 7:20‭-‬23 Jesus tells us: "And He (Jesus) said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”

In Luke 6:45 Jesus tells us: "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks."

In Ezekiel 36:26‭-‬27 we read how God will correct our heart: "I (God) will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them."

Dear friends, until we come to grips with how utterly wretched our heart is we will never fully appreciate what Jesus offers to do for us. When we come to repentance with a humble spirit and receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior He will indwell you with the Holy Spirit who will transform you from the inside out.

Title: Trust God, Not Man
Text: Jeremiah 17:5-10

Introduction: Prophet Jeremiah describes the two kinds of people. The one is cursed and the one is blessed.

I. The Man Who Is CURSED
1. The CAUSE
*verse 5,
This is what the Lord says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord."

2. The CONSEQUENCE
*verse 6,
"He will be like a bush in the wastelands; he will not see prosperity when it comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives."

II. The Man Who Is COMPENSATED
1. The CRITERIA
*verse 7,
“But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him."

2. The COMPENSATION
*verse 8,
"He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

III. The Man Who Is COUNSELED
1. The CONDITION
*verse 9,
"The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?"

2. The CONCERN
*verse 10,
“I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve.”

Conclusion:
Life is a choice between blessing and curse. Moses adviced us in Deuteronomy 30:19 to choose blessing rather than curse,
"This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live."
