緣起性空是佛教用語。所謂「緣起」，就是說：世界上沒有獨存性的東西，也沒有常住不變的東西，一切都是因緣和合所生起。所謂「性空」，就是說：因緣和合所生起的假有，本性是空的；如果自性不空，則不能有，這就是「真空生妙有」的意義。！
