【關聖帝君的由來】關聖帝君是我國歷史上記載的真實人物，亦即三國時代的猛將關羽，由於他高尚的五常品格－－仁、義、禮、智、信，和忠義之氣，被士民敬為神。關聖帝君生前的事蹟忠貫日月，義炳千秋，原為中國人所景仰，明清以降，儒佛道三教，更與帝君攀上關係；儒教尊之為「文衡」，佛教中尊關聖帝君為「蓋天佛陀」、「護法伽藍」，道教則尊聖帝為「翊漢天尊」、「協天大帝」、「崇富尊君」、「三界伏魔大帝」，又稱恩主公。明、清兩朝，更將關聖帝君列為國家供奉，與孔子並列為聖，孔子為文聖，帝君為武聖。
