高雄縣大寮福德宮典故由來

恭奉主神福德正神，原是大陸福建省游氏之人，修行成為玉皇大帝身旁監斬官之神職，因殺氣太重打下凡間，成地方守護神-土地公福德正神，來修身養性且救人無數，在某機緣下由陳氏夫婦買下此地，而在民國六十二年由陳氏夫婦本信仰山頂村太子爺，踏輪數次找尋陳氏夫婦，直告知陳氏夫婦，是否有意願由夫婦兩人修持奉拜，當時在陳氏婦人要求條件，要脫離貧窮，餐餐有飯吃，事業順利下，在民國六十四年如願以償，而雕刻神像一尊，誠心奉拜至今。
