一八六七年馬雅各博士在埤頭(現在鳳山市)北門外建築台灣第一個禮拜堂，經過五十六年後做了母教會，在高雄市鹽埕埔設佈道所。以後漸漸發展成現在之高雄鹽埕教會。 禮拜時間：
