淵源自先民渡台公元1670年駕臨高雄縣茄萣鄉下茄萣創廟定名金鑾宮，雕像開基大媽、二媽、三媽、四媽祖奉祀。
1968年由大媽祖降諭由正尊開基四媽祖駐駕前鎮高雄金鑾壇
1996年建廟完成定名高茄金鑾宮
