草衙天聖宮沿革誌
本宫主祀「天上聖母」，二樓奉祀「觀音佛祖」，配祀「福徳正神」、「註生娘娘」、「中壇元帥」、「虎爺將軍」等列位眾神。
溯本宮之由来；於民國五十七年間由雲林縣張桂森先生，自東石鄉笨港口港口宮，奉請天上聖母「二聖母」南下新草衙家中奉祀，當時新草衙部落尚未開發，混沌未明，然自二聖母威遷徙，有感聖母之威靈神恩，信眾有所託，有神則靈，從此香火日益興盛，信眾接踵而來。
