Ang Ultimate Investment

Devotion: In today’s world, laganap ang hustle culture. Todo-kayod tayo para ma-achieve ang financial goals natin, makabili ng latest gadgets, o makapag-ipon ng malaking savings. Hindi naman masamang magsikap, pero tinatanong tayo ng Proverbs ngayon: Ano ba talaga ang pinakamagandang investment natin sa buhay?

Ayon sa Bible, hindi raw crypto, ginto, o silver ang magbibigay sa atin ng totoong happiness. Ang pinaka-profitable na investment ay ang wisdom at understanding na galing kay Lord. Bakit? Kasi ang pera at kayamanan, pwedeng mawala sa isang kurap lang. Pwedeng magbago ang ekonomiya, o kaya naman ay maubos ang resources natin dahil sa mga hindi inaasahang pangyayari.

Pero ang karunungan ng Diyos? It brings a kind of joy and peace na hindi kayang bilhin ng pera. Kapag may wisdom ka, alam mo kung paano gumawa ng tamang desisyon sa pamilya, sa career, at sa mga relasyon mo. It guides you when life gets messy.

Kaya huwag lang nating ubusin ang lakas natin sa paghabol sa mga bagay na panandalian. Set your priorities right. Seek God’s heart, read His Word, and ask for His guidance everyday. Iyan ang investment na walang lugi at may eternal reward.

Reflection: Saan mo mas ginugugol ang oras at lakas mo ngayon, sa pag-iipon ng materyal na bagay, o sa paglago ng iyong relasyon at karunungan kay Lord?

The Cost of "Deserve Ko 'To"

Scripture: He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich. Proverbs 21:17

Ang Katotohanan (The Insight):

Lahat tayo, gustong ma-enjoy ang buhay. Normal lang naman na mag-relax after a long week at mag-treat sa sarili. Sino ba naman ang ayaw sa masarap na kape, bagong sapatos, o bakasyon? But Proverbs 21:17 gives us a very honest reality check about our spending habits and heart posture.Noong unang panahon, ang "wine and oil" ay mga luxury items, simbolo ito ng mamahaling lifestyle at walang humpay na party. Ang babala ng bersikulo ay hindi naman bawal mag-enjoy, kundi ang pagnanais o pagmamahal (love of pleasure) dito. Kapag ang focus natin ay laging instant gratification o 'yung tinatawag nating "Deserve ko 'to" mentality nang hindi nag-iisip, unti-unting nauubos ang ating resources.Financial poverty often starts with a lack of self-discipline. Kapag mas malaki ang priority natin sa porma at panandaliang saya kaysa sa pag-iipon at tamang stewardship, pinipili nating maging mahirap sa hinaharap.

💡 Ang Hamon (The Challenge):

God wants us to live a blessed and stable life, pero kailangan natin ng wisdom at temperance (pagtitimpi). It is a test of our heart: Sino ba talaga ang pina-prioritize natin? Ang mga bagay ba sa mundo na panandalian lang ang saya, o ang pagiging tapat na katiwala (good steward) sa mga biyayang ibinibigay ng Diyos? True wealth is not about how much we spend to look rich; it’s about having peace of mind and being a blessing to others.
