1970年開始興建耶穌聖心堂，1972年6月4日的耶穌聖心節，由首任新竹教區杜寶晉主教祝聖啟用，並訂本堂為耶穌聖心朝聖地。所以，一座美麗、莊嚴、別緻且具有實質意義的聖堂就這樣完成了。
耶穌聖心朝聖地及耶穌會會院位於新竹市中心區，聖堂可容納兩百人，設有停車場，約有二十多個停車位、綠草如茵的花園，圍繞著顯靈聖母像。堂區內還設有舉辦活動的場所、禮堂及交誼廳。
