本宮於民國八十一年開工，於八十四年農曆三月十三日一樓入火孜座，再於九十年三月竣工，二.三樓入火孜座，全程歷時九年，因為本宮主神張天師指示不得外出募款，各善男亯女可以樂捐，所以本宮建築一切從簡。 本宮由顏國真君發願承建。顏君年輕時生活困苦，經由天師指示製作李子乾再賣給蜜餞工廠，因而還清債務。天師唐山到台灣，一直孜座在花壇鄉中口村陳家宗祠，顏君發願為天師蓋廟，於是朝天宮因此誕生，並座落於花壇灣東村山上(人稱銀行山)。 祭拜神祇與一般道廟並無不同，特殊處只有他廟以清茶供奉，天師自古以來必頇以茶葉泡茶供奉。朝天宮之屋頂為閩式建築、 房子為西式建築。GPS定位:24°02'38.1"N 120°35'05.2"E
