May the Grace and peace of God the father and son Jesus our Lord be with you.

1 Thessalonians 2:1 For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain.

To be met with a commendation such as this would greatly encourage any believer.

The Apostle Paul opened with encouragement, opened with encouraging words, not only because it was true of those of us who have accepted Christ, but because he knew the effect it would have on our growth also.

You see despite what men may say, the truth is most of us by nature gravitate through and by being recognized. Paul knew that it would encourage them and add to their growth. It's only human.😉

Paul evenly plainly exposed and stated what he was doing for their moral, and upliftment, as he opened with, "For yourselves brethren". In other more plain words as I would put it, 'For your own sake brethren'.

So this morning I plainly say to all of you who have received the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and continue to labour, who continue daily in our walk as revealed by the Holy Spirit of God. I know what is done here daily is not in vain.

But uplifts us to labour on, edifies us to share with others, empowers us unto greater understanding and application of the word.

Today as I am encouraging you, saying well done I am sure God is pleased, encourage someone else, it will surely go along way.

Make a call, uplift someone, the truth is that doing that not only encourages and lifts the other person's spirit it also lifts you. Encourage each other as it feeds growth and strengthens.

Put it all aside and drop a line, send a text, remember also to do this in your homes with the ones who sometimes we may take for granted being closest to us.

May God bless you all today, as we step into a new chapter in the Book of 1 Thessalonians. Read forward so as I go along it will add to our daily revelation and understanding of all that's new.

I pray today that our Great and Mighty God, continues to protect our families, our loved ones, friends and neighbours, from physical harm, and all sickness and disease that may be over the land.

I pray that our kitchens be blessed and our supplies be multiplied, our finances are adequate and even overflow. May God increase our wisdom of the times and most of all his word.

I pray God encourages our spirits, uplifts our beings so that we can all share in one peace and one joy, the joy of the Lord, strengthen us emotionally condemning all the pains of the past, increasing the upliftment of our newness in Christ Jesus, who reigns as Lord of Lords and King of Kings.

He who have given all for us, in he we are full, and encouraged daily, knowing that he died so we can live. He defied death and the same spirit that rose him from the dead is alive in us. And we give thanks to the power of God that we all possess, in the Almighty name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.
Take a few minutes and encourage someone today. God bless you all.

May the Grace and peace of God the father and son Jesus our Lord be with you today.

Today we are looking again, but to complete our introduction of Chapter 1 in the Book of 1 Thessalonians.

After covering last week, a beginning to understanding of the elements, faith, love and hope. We also looked at the fact that these believers without the use of what we may call modern methods of communication were able to "spread abroad" the Gospel, leading others to Jesus Christ.

I need you to look at how the Apostle Paul describes how they spread the word.

In verse 8a: For from you sounded out the word of the Lord.
- Does this sound to you that they were silent evangelists?
- Are you a silent evangelists?

In verse 8b: not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in EVERY PLACE your faith to God-ward is spread abroad.
-Christ died for all, not some all, so we need to tell all of the Gospel.

The truth is-
Faith cometh by hearing and by hearing the word of God.
(Identify the verse please)

The believers of Thessalonica did such a marvelous job of evangelism that at the end of verse 8 the Apostle stated that more or less they had no need of him or any other to share a clear Gospel.

These guys were leading people to Jesus Christ. There's something I want you to pay attention to also and that is back in verse 6, it says "having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

The Gospel just like now needs to be spread abroad in a time of much affliction. The world seems not to recognize many of the afflictions they're under and there's one way to rescue them in a time like this and that by the saving Grace of Jesus Christ.

In short, pro the Gospel needs to be hear. Tell the people spread your faith like a net and retrieve the lost and there is so much to save them from.

Most of all save them from themselves.

In verse 9, the Apostle Paul writes that they have shown the effects that he and Silvanus and Timotheus had on them. Such a powerful effect that it caused them to turn from their idols, to serve the "LIVING AND TRUE GOD;"

Are we trying our best with zeal to spread abroad the Gospel?
Some of these new believers went back generations in their families serving other gods and idolatry, and the news of Jesus was able to rip them right away from years of affliction.

You know when we see the word idol or idolatry we sometimes only see it from a standpoint of stone statues but we need to look at the fact that some people today aren't even attached to any religion. But we see them serving idols, some idolize cars, some the camera, some idolize themselves, some idolize others, a lot idolize money (even some within the church), some idolize immoral lifestyles.

They're all in a time like this afflicted by something or the other.

The Gospel will rip them away from these afflictions to serve the one true God.

Giving them new hope to live and wait as verse 10 says for his son from heaven, Jesus is his name, raised from the dead. The only way we are all delivered from the wrath to come.

There is a wrath coming, upon all of mankind, make that clear to all, the more they reject the word the closer Jesus is to coming.

May God bless you all.

Father thank you for your Mercies, your Grace, your forgiveness, your kindness, your provision, your protection, you love. We have so much to thank you for, for Salvation for saving us from unbelief unto Glory in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Continue to look after our children, our finances our families at work and at home, cover our travels and our health keep us free from all manner of sickness and disease in the Almighty name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.

May the Grace and peace of God the father and son Jesus our Lord be with you today.

May you be blessed with a renewed strength, a greater measure of faith, all in an atmosphere of joy and power in the Holy Ghost.

I bring to remembrance all that we have been through this week in 1 Thessalonians chapter 1.

Where that by now we should understand that faith, hope and love are elements that coexist. Not only that, but they are recognizable attributes of our lives in Jesus Christ.

Have you ever heard that you are the Bible that the heathen reads?
Yes believers you are!
The things you do.
The things you say.
The things you wear.
The things you react to.
The places that you go.
The music you listen to.
The books you read.
The tv shows you look at.
The company you keep.
Your choice of environment.

No matter where you are you have to reflect Jesus Christ. You see this also has negatives and positives attached to it.

You see you think that they aren't looking but they are and if you only make a mistake!!!!! This is what you would hear "and she says she's a Christian but look at what she's doing", or "he's supposed to be a Christian right" and a lot of times "that's why I don't go to church, they are all hypocrites".

The truth is how do they really know what a Christian supposed to do or say or not?
I think they are very well aware of what's right from wrong.
Seeing they can identify and comment on all the negatives.

Anyway the Bible says in Romans 14:16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:

As believers we really need to know that our actions are seen by all. They just act like they don't, and that although we may not be aware, people are looking for you to slip up, seeing that you are the only Bible that they read.

As we are into that area of looking on, what that ultimately means is that you are an example to so many others. Hope you knew that, and if you didn't I am telling you now.

Sneak hint and don't miss it, tomorrow's Word is based on you knowing that everything God does is to set an example. Tell everyone it will be an awesome Word. (Subscribe YouTube Pastor Solomon De La Rosa)

You are an example, look at verse 7 of 1 Thessalonians, you would need your Bible for this now. The writer says "ye were ensamples to all that believe".

Just as the Apostle Paul, Silvanus and Timotheus were examples to them. From verse 5 b. "as ye knew what manner of men we were among you for your sake." 6 and ye became followers of us, and of the Lord,".

This just shows how leading by example has a great effect and how far being a great example goes. It transcends time, space and great distances.

At this time over 2000 years ago this wasn't the age of wireless communication we have, no social media apps to connect as we do.

But yet still those believers were able by the things they did in a tough time too, to be beacons of light and most of all change to so many others.

In verse 8 the Bible says "not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your FAITH to God-ward is SPREAD abroad;"

You see we are in a time way technologically advanced communication wise, so let's reach an audience of people looking on and bring Jesus Christ change to them all.

I will conclude this chapter on Monday 13th April please God. Be the change that someone else sees around you today, the change of Jesus Christ.

I know not everyone the message reaches may read, but to those who do as they did in 1 Thessalonians 1:8 "spread abroad", just spread it abroad.

It's up to them to either reject Jesus or accept Jesus today. Tell them he died so they can live. Show them that heaven and hell is real, just as this world and the one to come is. The difference between dying today without Jesus and resurrection in him.

You know as much as I used to carry a hurt when I see people blatantly rejecting Christ, I remember God telling Samuel when Israel wanted a King, 1 Samuel 8:7 for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them."

Use the medium and spread the word of God, don't be afraid or prideful. They aren't rejecting you they are rejecting God.

Father I pray for a boldness of your saints today, a greater strength than they have ever possessed, a strength to carry your word, the message of Salvation through your son Jesus. I pray that you remove the consuming fear and pride in their lives so others can be reached.

Cover all families this day from sickness, disease and harm, in their travels at their homes and those who are working, at their workplaces, show us what to do, guide us continually, maintain our focus, make our provision adequate, give us a greater measure of faith in the Almighty name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.

May the Grace and peace of God the father and son Jesus our Lord be with you all this morning.

How are the blessed and beloved saints of the one and true Most High God doing on this blessed day?

Today I would like you to move your Bibles to the book of 1 Thessalonians chapter 1. The chapter has 10 verses, of which we are going to take a look at this morning.

Remember 'The Word' of God must be applicable and appropriate at all times to the times. So at the beginning we see that the Apostle Paul gives a combined greeting unto the church family at Thessalonica extending Grace and peace from God and our Lord Jesus. Then alerting them right away that they are always remembered in prayer and they give God thanks for them coming together as a church through Jesus Christ in verse 2.

They Thanksgiving was constant, as Paul put it "without ceasing" citing three familiar attributes, they are 'faith, love and hope' in that order in verse 3.

Now Paul aligns faith with work, he calls it "your work of faith". Now we got to wake up to what we are really reading and may God begin to bring Understanding and clarity to us in Jesus name. "Your work of faith" yes we say we have faith. Sounds familiar doesn't it? (see James ch2 from vs 14). But are you working the measure of faith you have?. This is not about aligning faith and works, this is about working the faith that you have.

Have you been working your faith?
It means that we can call ourselves Christians and possess a measure of faith and still not use it. The truth is that so many of us can fall into this state and category.

You know today I was going to go through the entire of this chapter with you all but instead I will call this 'Part 1'.

I need you to look at your faith today, is it a dormant attribute in your christian life?
Do I really understand what faith means, or what it is?

Jesus admonished his disciples after he rebuked the devil out of a man in the book of Matthew ch 17:18. Which was immediately after questioned by his disciples as to why they couldn't. He told them that it was "Because of your unbelief". The truth is they didn't even believe in the power they had themselves, so they couldn't 'work their faith'.

You see at the same time in verse 20 he had to tell them that you had even the smallest measure of faith and were able to work it properly, the you could say "unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."

Faith worked properly can remove and shift any circumstance, giant or mountain in your life. It can remove impossibilities, what you never thought could be moved. Work your faith, even the smallest measure that you have, if worked properly there will be no limit to what you can do in Jesus Almighty name.

Look at Hebrews 11 everytime I read it revs me up, when I see the victories that come by faith, they were listed so that they can inspire us, mentioning Noah, Abraham, Sara, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Rahab, Gideon, Barak, Sampson and others. I pray that it inspires you too as it does for me.

Hebrews 11 from verse 33 states, "Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of aliens." And so much more.

PLease read it through and see what happens when you 'work faith'.

God I do pray this day that you enable us a renewed measure of faith, to stand against so many things that may seem impossible, give us the ability to conquer, and remove every negative effect in our lives, sickness or be removed, threat of disease be removed, negative emotions be removed, stress, anxiety and worry be removed, unforgiveness be removed, anger be removed, walls and barriers be removed right now in Jesus Almighty name, be removed. Strengthen our faith today as we conquer and subdue the works of the ungodly kingdom and every attack it attempts, by faith today we protect our children, our homes, our travels our provision. Through faith we claim victory with our finances. In the Almighty name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these three is love. (The same combination in 1 Thessalonians 1:3)
See you tomorrow for Pt. 2 and may God bless you richly in Jesus name.

In God's Grace.
Pastor Solomon De La Rosa.
