Today, 5th June, is World Environment Day!!!
Hindus have always revered and cherished the environment in the following ways:

1. Plants...the tulsi, neem and bael (just to name a few) have been used in pujas
2. Animals...the cow is respected and worshipped (Gow Daan)
3. Earth...considered as one of our Mothers, Prithvi Mata, and is present when performing pujas
4. Water....the waterways are especially important during the observances of Ganga Dashmi and Kartik Snan.
Please let us continue to do our part in contributing towards protecting our environment, by re using, recycling and respecting.
