Suggestion to Curb Crime
A new generation of a any nation will not embrace the mores, the norms, the practices as older generations. In other words new generations influence change in laws of a country which overarches institutions, families, other organizations etc. and which forces them to change and re-arrange their modus operandi to become relevant and to avoid extinction.
The above information targets Crime and the Education and Housing Systems. Education and Housing are two basic needs of a nation which can help curb crime and which must change its delivery styles.
Today, (with emphasis on change as mentioned earlier) every citizen should be entitled to an education and a house through a well established program that will benefit the country now and in the future.
The Education System should be strongly regulated to assess each child from kindergarten to Secondary. The reason for the assessment is to determine a career which each person can pursue to meet the needs of the country, to allow easy transition as the population ages and to sustain the country. These will prevent crime.
The Housing System can be merged with the Education System. When the child and/or children has/have completed his/her career based on the assessment program and have been absorbed into the workforce the housing Ministry should mandate by law a salary deduction towards a house with penalities if any citizen refuse.
The Housing lottery system is not reaching every citizen. It needs to be revamped.
This is all about change; none of our citizen should have to suffer, none should 'fall through the cracks'. The stigmas re: prestigious schools, academic achievements, with little or no acknowledgement for vocational achievers and no proper homes have contributed to crime in our country. These perspectives need to change.
