*One God, Three Experiences: Love, Goodness, Truth*
There is only One God. But we, with our different natures, experience Him in different ways. The saints say the same Sun is seen as light, warmth, and color depending on the eye that sees. Similarly, God is Love, God is Goodness, and God is Truth.
*Bhakti Yoga: God is Love*
For the devotee, God is not a philosophy to debate but a Beloved to embrace. Bhakti Yoga is the path of the heart. The bhakta does not ask for proof—he sings, weeps, and calls out with longing. To him, God is experienced as love that hugs, forgives, and waits. When Meera sang for Krishna or when Prahlad called “Narayana!” from the pillar, they felt a presence that melted all fear. That presence was love. For the devotee, the temple is not stone—it is the heart where God lives as the sweetest emotion. If your eyes fill up during kirtan, if you feel homesick for the Divine, know this: you are walking the path of Bhakti. God is meeting you as Love.
*Karma Yoga: God is Goodness*
For the Karma Yogi, God is not found only on the altar but in every act of service. Karma Yoga is the path of selfless action. The Karma Yogi experiences God as goodness that works through his hands. When you feed the hungry without expecting thanks, when you do your duty without complaint, when you help because “it is the right thing to do”—there, God is present as goodness. Swami Vivekananda called this “worship of the living God” in the poor and needy. The Karma Yogi does not sit to meditate for hours. His meditation is his work, done without “mine” and “me”. For him, God is the silent strength that makes every honest action beautiful. If you feel peace after helping someone, you have touched God as Goodness.
*Jnana Yoga: God is Truth*
For the Jnani, God is not a form but the formless Reality behind all forms. Jnana Yoga is the path of knowledge and inquiry. With the question “Who am I?”, the Jnani peels away body, mind, and ego like layers of an onion. What remains is Truth—unchanging, eternal, beyond birth and death. The Upanishads declare _Satyam Jnanam Anantam Brahma_—Brahman is Truth, Knowledge, Infinity. The Jnani experiences God not as an emotion or an action, but as the undeniable fact of his own existence. When illusion drops, only Truth remains.
*One Summit, Many Roads*
Love, Goodness, Truth—three words, one God. A lover feels Him, a server serves Him, a seeker knows Him. You don’t have to choose one and reject others. Start where your nature pulls you. If you are emotional, love Him. If you are active, serve Him. If you are thoughtful, inquire into Him.
Walk sincerely, and one day you will see: Love was Goodness, Goodness was Truth, and Truth was Love all along. That is God-realisation.
