When I first discovered that my thoughts were creative, I would often stop what I was doing to check in with my thoughts in that moment. I was surprised to discover how often they were negative! The good news is that in that moment I turned them around with affirmations and gratitude. Soon my life started to change for the better. I can’t fix what I don’t acknowledge.

Standing in line, someone stepped ahead of me. When they glanced around and saw me, realizing I was there first, their eyes got big. Smiling, I said, “No worries!” and I meant it – instant forgiveness! Life’s too short to let grumpiness be my go-to response. I pray to walk gently through each day, letting kindness be my first response to any situation.

God never intended for humans to be simply assembly line workers, putting together what God designed. God's intention from the beginning was to put you at the drafting board, coming up with your own design.

Dear Spirit, Whenever life gives me more than what I emotionally can assimilate, to process and solve, it scrambles my life.

I feel this mixed-up, scrambled feeling I have inside will never leave me when I am standing in this space.

Thank you, for helping me to define my life as one of faith, as I take control over the choices of who I ask for help.

I am grateful to you for untying my hands, sharpening my mind, and for those moments with you in quiet counsel.
