“Half-hearted obedience breeds quiet compromise, but He will finish what He started in you.”

Judges 3:9 (KJV) And when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother.

In Judges, Israel did not fully drive out what God told them to, and that "almost" obedience slowly turned into living like the nations around them (Judges 2:10-16 (KJV) And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.
And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim:
And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.
And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.
And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.
Whithersoever they went out, the hand of the LORD was against them for evil, as the LORD had said, and as the LORD had sworn unto them: and they were greatly distressed.
Nevertheless the LORD raised up judges, which delivered them out of the hand of those that spoiled them.). It is sobering, because compromise rarely stays small. It spreads quietly, and then we wonder how we got so far from the life we wanted with Him.

If you see that pattern in yourself, you are not alone, and you are not beyond help. Bring the honest places to God today and ask Him for a whole heart, one step at a time. The same Lord who kept rescuing Israel is still faithful. Philippians 1:6 (KJV) Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

A LIFE GIVER—RADIANT, LAMBENT AND DIVINE

1 Corinthians 15:45 (KJV) And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

When you were born again, an actual change took place in your spirit. It wasn’t a mere transformation of your mindset or a shift in your way of thinking. No! You were literally reborn, recreated by the Holy Ghost. That’s why the Scriptures affirm, 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Whereas the natural man, the man that’s not born again, is of the earth and a mere living soul, you’re a life-giving spirit. You bear the image of the heavenly: 1 Corinthians 15:47-48 (KJV) The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. You’re a heavenly man. Hallelujah! You’re not of this world.

Your life came from the Lord Jesus Christ, the second and last Adam. He’s the head of a new race, the new creation. You’re taxonomically different from the natural man. For example, despite sharing the same earthly parents, if you’re born again and you have a sibling who isn’t, you both belong to completely different realms. Outwardly, you may look the same, but in the Spirit, you are worlds apart.

The one who isn’t born again is called darkness while you are called light. The former absorbs light, you radiate it. You emit light, for you’re the light of the world, just as the Lord Jesus is called the true light (John 1:9 (KJV) That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.). As He is, so are you in this world (1 John 4:17 (KJV) Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.).

Live in the consciousness of your divine origin and identity in Christ. You’re a life giver—radiant, lambent, and divine. Walk in this truth! This is a fundamental truth.

Dear Jesus, It is my hearts desire to follow after you. I only want to be where you are and where you lead. Being in the heart of your will is the safest place to be. I realize you may lead in ways that are foreign to me. I may not understand where you are taking me and I honestly may not even want to go there but it is in those times that I must deny myself and pick up my cross and crucify my flesh so I can follow you. It is painful to let go of my expectations and what I thought I wanted for my life. But that’s what it means to follow you and take up my cross. As surely as you said in the garden the night before your crucifiction, “not my will but thy will be done,” I too must have that steadfast perseverance to thy will not my will, as I follow you. Even as Jesus was obedient unto death he was raised up and you glorified him above all others. As I pursue you into your plan and purpose for my life I will accomplish more than I ever thought possible. You will lead me into your divine destiny and reward me for my obedience.
