First and secon stanza of Tiruppavai(which is chanted during this month) translated:

The auspicious full moon of Margali is here -
maidens bejewelled and intent on bathing, come out!
Darling girls of the cowherd clan
whose hamlet brims over with beauty and wealth;
That cruel sharp spear — Nanda's son,
Young lion of Yashoda with her love-filled eyes
Cloud-hued, red-eyed, sun and moon for his face
Nārāyaṇa, himself has offered
His gracious drum for us
To sing his praise and gain the worlds

O People of the world, listen to what we shall do,
How we shall observe these sacred days. We shall praise the feet
of that Supreme One Lying on the Ocean of Milk; No ghee, no milk shall we take, and at dawn we shall bathe:
No collyrium for the eyes; no flowers bound in the hair.
Avoiding all proscribed deeds, refraining from gossip;
Giving alms, and making offerings all we can,
and joyfully seek our liberation.

First day of Dhanur/Margalai maasam
Most important month for the vaishnavas(Devotees of lord vishnu)
Prayers to Goda devi:

To Andal, our protector, we all do bow. She awakened Krsna who calmly slept, urged him to forgive us and keep his vow, awoke him as he lays on Nila's(Radha) divine chest. 🥰

With Garlands, sri krsna she did bind. On the boundless one, she did prevail. Oh andal, to us devotees do be kind❣
We bow to you oh goddess divine, who became married to Krsna

*SHARAD PURNIMA*

Namaskaram.

On Saturday 28th of october we observe the most auspicious occasion of Sharad Purnima, one of the most auspicious full moons of the year.

It is the day Sri Krsna, and Srimati Radha Rani have their Rasa Leela Dance with the gopikas.

On this day, the devotees can recoeve the causeless grace of the divine in a very special way.

Rise early(2 hours before sunrise) take bath etc, offer jal to surya, then offer either panchopachara(5 Steps) or sodashopachara (16 steps) puja to radha krishna, then light a diya with ghee, and chant any of the following mantras 108 times using a tulsi maala.

1. Om Srim Klim radha Krishna Bhyaam Namaha

2. Om klim krishnaya namaha

3. Om srim ram radhikaya namaha

4. Om namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.

Those who are having heart problems can chant:

Om Sri Vittala Giridhari, Parabrahmane namaha.

Meditate on the dance of sri radhe krsna.

In the evening, around the time of Sandhya, you should already take bath etc,
And offer to sri krishna and radha sweet rice.
Some of the prasad sweet rice is then offered to chandra, the moon and left outside to get the rays of the moon, which is believed to nectarize the sweet rice by the next morning. Its then taken as maha prasadam.

*PANCHOPACHARA (5 STEPS PUJA)*

Offer flowers to the picture or murti chanting:
Om Srim Klim radha krishna Bhyaam namaha, avahayami, stapayami, asanam samarpayami.

1st- Ghandam.
Offer some chandan on the forhead of the lord and mother, chanting the mantra, srim klim radha krishna bhyam namaha, Chandanam samarpayami.

2nd- Pushpa
Offer some flowers and tulsi chanting
Om srim klim radha krishna bhyam namaha, pushpam samarpayami
( tulsi should be offered to krishna alone and not radha)

3- Doopa
Offer incence 3 times chanting dhoopam samarpayami

4- Deepa
Offer a lit diya chanting deepam samarpayami

5- naivedyam

Offer the sweet rice, or a fruit chanting om srim klim radha krishna bhyaam namaha, naivedyam samarpayami.
Offer some water chanting achmaniyam samarpayami.

Take flowers now in hand, chant your own special prayers to yje lord, and meditate on the fact that you belong to him, and he is your guiding force, and everything you do in this world, he is doing through you.
Offer now the flowers to the lorz, and perform your jaapa with any of the choosen mantra i provided.

Lets talk kalashas😊
Also known as a Ghatt or a Kumbha or a Karga.

When setting up kalashas, like you would have done for your navaraatri celebrations, we place tumeric, akshata(unbroken rice grains stained in tumeric), ashta churna(8 auspicious powders like spices, elichie etc), Suparie, 1 silver coin and sometimes a peice of gold or other stone or metal. (Depending on the ritual)
We sometimes place a Kurcha(Kush-Darbha grass tied in a specific way, different ammount for different purposes),A raksha sutra around the neck, our Mango leaves of course and not forgetting our coconut.
The kalasha should then be decorated on the 4 sides with Sandal paste (chandan) and sindoor.
In some more elaborate rituals like Murti consecration, Janeo samskara, Udaka Shanti etc, some would also wrap treads on the kalasha(As seen belew) representing the Nadis (intersecting nerves) in the human body.
The kalasha represents a perfect body, in which we consecrate the divine.

The leaves are supposed to represent the Limbs of the deity which would be invoked in the kalasha/Kumbha and therefore the leaves must never be clipped or cut.
Some cut the leaves to make it even and neat, however if the leaves are cut, then the body is no longer perfect and doesnt contain the ammount of energy as a complete one would

The kalasha is then places uppon a pile of rice, barly or grains, and worshipped.
In the pujas, most times Varuna deva would be invoked in the kalasha for punyaha vacanam/Kalasha puja- (purificatory ritual).

Some more information on Eclipses.

Grahaṇa - Eclipse:

For nine (9) hours before the commencement of a lunar eclipse, and for twelve (12) hours a solar eclipse, neither śrāddha nor meals are allowed. Meals are allowed only after the mokṣa or release of the eclipsed planet. On the occasion of a grasthodaya eclipse of the moon (when the moon rises in an eclipsed condition), neither śrāddha nor meals are allowed during daylight hours, and after mokṣa, performers of pūrṇimā śrāddha must fast and perform śrāddha the next day but other may have food at night. If the moon sets in an eclipsed condition (grasthāsthamanam) meals are allowed only after next moonrise, except to the performer of śrāddha, who must fast in the night and perform śrāddha the next day. According to Manu, no śrāddha on account of a tithi can be performed at night, but śrāddhas on account of eclipse must be performed during the time of eclipse, even if it be at night.

Plus there are some inauspicious times (evil yogas) like Mahā Sūlam and Graha Sūlam. Mahā sūlam occurs occurs on the star asterism day opposite the one governed by the sun or moon during an eclipse. Meaning the fifteenth (15th) star date after the eclipse. Graha Sūlam is the star date seven (7) days asterisms before and also after the eclipse.
