🇫🇷 Called to Be Witnesses

Alain has a dream: to see a church planted in Drôme Nord, a region in southern France where there is no Evangelical church. To support that vision, OM ran a Tous Témoins training day for local believers – and after lunch, 20 believers stepped out into their community as witnesses for Christ.

Across Somalia’s deserts, nomadic camel herders follow the rains, rarely staying long enough to be found again. These constantly moving communities are among the least reached with the gospel.
Somali believers responded with a simple but powerful idea: the camel library. Camels carry books, literacy tools and solar‑powered Bible resources into the desert, opening doors to learning, and to conversations about Jesus.
Today, the gospel is on the move in the Horn of Africa, carried faithfully on the backs of camels, reaching people where they are.

Training for sports, finding Christ

Sports were a catalyst for change in a community in Malawi.

When Zaineb attended a sports training through OM in Malawi, she was expecting to learn about coaching. While she did learn how to lead a team, Zaineb also learnt about Christ’s love for her and surrendered her life to Jesus. Returning home, she started a netball team for young women in her community and guided them as they grew in both their athletic abilities and their relationship with God. Soon, the young men noticed the transformation happening among the young women and reached out to Zaineb, who helped them start a football team of their own.

Seeing Zaineb’s passion for helping others through sport, the OM team sent her for additional sports training aimed at developing and discipling players and encouraging them to do the same with others.

With confidence and newfound knowledge from the training, Zaineb returned home and went to the local chiefs to share her vision of bringing peace to the young people in the community who had been fighting for no reason. With their support, she formed another team and helped others to do the same. Today, Zaineb is helping six leaders as they coach 70 young people.

An OM worker shared that “Zaineb has become an agent of peace in her community, sharing the gospel with her fellow youths. Community leaders admire her because the youths are now playing together and thriving, fostering unity and development within their community!”

We will live the light that shone in them.

The REACH discipleship training team pays tribute to three colleagues who died in a road accident and reflects on God's faithfulness through tragedy.

One year after losing three colleagues in a devastating road accident, OM’s REACH training team in Ghana is acknowledging God’s comfort through sorrow and reflecting on how the experience has deepened their faith.

One year after losing three colleagues in a devastating road accident, OM’s REACH training team in Ghana is acknowledging God’s comfort through sorrow and reflecting on how the experience has deepened their faith.

On their way to a medical outreach over the Easter weekend in April 2025, 16 mission workers and course participants were travelling in a public bus which overturned in rainy conditions. Staff members Heather from Jamaica, Hannah from Sierra Leone, and John from Ghana were killed.

The surviving students wanted to continue with their discipleship training. As they continued learning and wrestling with weighty questions, they formed strong bonds and matured in their faith. In a poignant touch when they graduated from the course, their certificates were presented by Rev Solomon Japol — elder brother of John, their colleague who had passed away in the crash.

At 16, Abigail* encountered Yeshua through the Old Testament prophecies she already knew — and chose to follow Him at any cost. As the first believer in her family, she found community among Jewish followers of Jesus and quickly stepped into a life of service, hospitality and gospel witness.

Today, together with her husband Gersham*, Abigail opens her home, work and daily life to God’s purposes in Israel. Through teaching, hospitality and unexpected conversations, she continues to say “Hineni — here am I,” trusting God to bring lasting fruit even in challenging times.

Buddhism teaches that life is suffering, but through practices like meditation and mindfulness that people can gain karma.

Buddhists strive to let go of anger, greed, and hatred - sources of conflict – until they attain Nirvana either in this life or the next.

Each individual strives to earn enough karma for a better next life. They carry the burden to be good. And there is no certainty if they have ever done enough.

The Bible teaches that Jesus is the Prince of Peace and Jesus shares His peace with those who follow Him.

Thank you for praying that those who seek peace through Buddhism will encounter the true and lasting peace that only Jesus can give.

Vanh* struggled with a serious eye problem. He went for medical treatment and tried different solutions, but there was no improvement.

One day, a woman told him that only Christ could heal him. After hearing this, he decided to go to church and place his faith in Jesus. Not long after Vanh, experienced healing in his eyes. He realised that God called him not only to heal his eyes, but to save his life. This miracle became a turning point in his life, leading Vanh to commit fully to following Christ.

When Nyima left her mountain village for the winter, she didn’t know her painful knee would become the doorway to something far greater. A simple prayer opened a conversation - and weeks later, healing opened her heart to Jesus.

After hearing the gospel, Nyima and a friend chose to follow Christ and were baptised in a mountain stream. Now back in their isolated village, they are the only believers, facing hardship and opposition. Pray that their fragile faith will grow strong, even in the highest and hardest places.
