✨The Word Wednesday ✨
The believer’s race is never a sprint, but one filled with hurdles that we must must keep crossing over, to remain in the race. There will be challenges that test our faith, disappointments that try our patience, and seasons of shaking that reveal what we are truly anchored to. Yet through it all, we are called to keep moving forward.
When the hurdles seem too high and the journey becomes difficult, Hebrews gives us a simple instruction: consider Him.
Consider Jesus—the perfect example of unwavering endurance and steadfast obedience. Though He faced betrayal, rejection, mockery, suffering, and ultimately the cross, He remained faithful to the assignment the Father had entrusted to Him. He endured every hardship and every sorrow, knowing that on the other side of His sacrifice would come transformative victory, redemption, and new life for all who would receive Him. What appeared to be defeat became the greatest triumph the world has ever known.
The same chapter reminds us that everything that can be shaken will be shaken. In seasons of shaking, faith is essential, but so too are endurance and discipline. It is often in life’s most difficult moments that our faith is refined, our character is strengthened, and our trust in God is deepened.
When we become consumed by our struggles, it is easy to grow weary and faint in our minds. Yet Hebrews reminds us to look beyond our circumstances and remember Christ’s example. Nothing we face is as great as the burden Jesus carried on our behalf. No sacrifice we make compares to the price He paid at Calvary. If Jesus remained steadfast through the cross, then surely He is able to strengthen us through every challenge we face.
So when the temptation comes to quit, when the race feels long, or when the obstacles seem overwhelming, consider Him. Remember His faithfulness. Remember His sacrifice.
Remember His victory.
Then keep moving forward, knowing that the same Christ who endured the cross will give you the strength to overcome every hurdle and finish your race well.
