Wycliffe Caribbean - Trinidad & Tobago

Wycliffe Caribbean - Trinidad & Tobago Wycliffe Trinidad & Tobago is part of the Wycliffe Bible Translators International family of organizations.

We believe the worldwide Christian Church is responsible to evangelize the world and to disciple the nations. Wycliffe founded by William Cameron Townsend
1942
Wycliffe was founded in 1942 by William Cameron Townsend. A missionary to the Cakchiquel Indians of Guatemala, Townsend caught the vision for translation after Cakchiquel-speaking men expressed their concern and surprise that God did not sp

eak their language. Townsend resolved that every man, woman and child should be able to read God’s Word in their own language. Borrowing the name of the Reformation hero, John Wycliffe, who first translated the Bible into English, Townsend founded "Camp Wycliffe" in 1934 (photo is from 1938 Camp Wycliffe) as a linguistics training school. By 1942, "Camp Wycliffe" had grown into two affiliate organizations, Wycliffe Bible Translators and the Summer Institute of Linguistics.

🌱Which soil are you?

In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus compares our hearts❤️ to different types of soil.🌱

The Parable of the Sower

“While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town, he told this parable: 5 “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds ate it up. 6 Some fell on rocky ground, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown.”
Luke 8:4-8

Hey guys, need your help with something please! We're running a survey to gather info on Grenadian Creole, can you share with any Grenadians you know? The more feedback we get the better. Thank you in advance!

We are interested in understanding when Standard English is used and when Grenadian Creole is used. Main goals of this assessment: To understand the status of Bible translation in the Caribbean, including: (a) learning from Scripture engagement in the Caribbean (b) assessing any potential needs for....
