Look to the One that you love as everything, and yourself as nothing. Then you will achieve that love. Maybe. And at that point, does it even matter what you want? He has the right to put us up, He has the right to put us down, anywhere. And that is, we’re happy that He looks at us. We’re happy that He can just look at us.

Who are we? What do we do in this world? But they put their eyes on us. So they give us some job, we run to do it. We do it as much as we can, as well as we can. They smack us one day, we get over it. They praise us one day, we don’t let it get to our head, and we try to become like a Kitmir to them, a dog. And then that’s it. A dog is happy when you just look at it sometimes. That’s all it wants, right?

So many who come to Tariqat, they don’t want to be a dog, they want to be the master. That’s a problem. They act like the master, they try to say, well, I’m supposed to become the beloved. That time, you may fall into a shirk.

With His support, anything is possible, inshaAllah.

The Path to Allah is not in books. The Path to Allah is that it is a Path that you have to walk. Not in books that you have to read. The one who has never set one foot on it has no right to speak about it, because he doesn’t understand it.

Once, two murids of Shah-i-Naksibend were discussing the meaning of faith. They went on and on and on, with so much energy. Finally, Shah i-Naksibend came to them and said, “If what you are looking for is our Sohbet, then you must leave faith behind.” This statement came as a very painful shock to those two, and they found it hard to accept the Khwaja’s purpose, even when it was clear to them. (Rashahat).

But we have no choice but to walk this Path. Why? Auzubillah Minashaitan Nirajeem, BismillahirRahmanirRahim, By time! Truly, mankind is in loss, Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds and advise each other to truth and advise each other to patience.” (103) Saqallahuladzim.

Everyone is in loss except those who are truly believing, truly doing righteous deeds, truly advising to Hak, and truly advising each other to patience. We are in the Sohbet that is doing that. We are in the Sohbet of fighting the ego. We are in the Sohbet of Sahib el-Sayf. We are in the sohbet of Sultanul Awliyah Sheykh Maulana Muhammad Nazim al Haqqani, we are in the sohbet of forty Grandsheykh, there is no other Sohbet like it.

“Alhamdulillah that our Sheykh, Sahib el-Sayf Sheykh Abdul Kerim el-Kibrisi el-Rabbani (KS), Alhamdulillah that he built this Jamaat. And in this Jamaat, he taught us what it is to welcome Ramazan, to celebrate Ramazan, with passion and with love. He (KS) is saying to us, in the Last Ramazan he welcomed here at the Osmanli Dergah: “Alhamdulillah, Allah’s blessings has reached to us. Our Sheykh’s rahmat, blessings, mercy and his himmat has reached to us, and we are able to escape from the confusion, one of the biggest confusion city on the world, New York city, to top of this mountain… (and all by ourselves) we made Ramazan here too. On top of this mountain. There were snow everywhere too. This is the Urs of our Sheykh. We must ask ourselves why we are here. Why are we still here? We came with different expectations. Then the expectations changed, the intentions changed. Are we reaching what we are looking for? Is this what we are looking for? If it is not, don’t stay. If it is, there’s more.

Sahib el-Sayf came to show us who we are. Don’t live as you think you are. Did you find someone to take you to the water to show you your reality? Sahib el-Sayf did not leave his work unattended. He did not leave his mission as a mystery. And he never, ever, ever, left the Jemaat without a Leader.

So now look, are we claiming, or a we pretending? Because you can claim to be his murid, but if in this world you are doing whatever you want, or taking the light that is meant for the work of Hakk and handing it to the sheytans, you cannot be with him in Ahiret. Just like Holy Prophet (AS) said, “I will be at the Hawd, my Pool in Paradise, waiting for those of you who will come to me. Some men will be prevented from reaching me, so I will say: ‘O Lord, my Ummati, Ummati!’ but it will be said to me: ‘You do not know what they did after you were gone; they kept turning on their heels.’” (Ahmad).

So check yourself. Use Sahib el-Sayf’s words as a tester and check yourself. Are we turning on our heels?

Sahib el-Sayf said: “I am going to stay in the way of Allah and his Prophet (AS), I don’t care how many is going to come together to attack me. But understand this now, if you are claiming that you are living for Allah’s Sake, if you are living with me- if you are with me, you are going to help in this way, you are going to stay, you are going to hold on tightly. If not, you are going to fly away. This is what they want. We must wake up to our own selves. Do the good work! have nothing to give to you worldly definitely, but I am holding on very tightly to the rope of Allah, to the rope of His Prophet (AS), to the rope of the Evliyaullah. If you are holding on to that, you will be the winner. If not, you are betrayer, it’s okay, it is not bothering me. I am not going to lose sleep over that, believe me… Those who are with me, to know, I swear to Allah, I did swear years ago. When I was 22 years old, I sacrificed myself to Him. I swear to Allah that in this world, if my son is going to stand, or my mother, or anybody, I will crush them down. Anyone who is going to stand on the other side, I will not hesitate. I’m asking Allah to take that love away from my heart. So if you are that way, then welcome. You have a place with me. If you are not in that way. Please slowly, go and disappear into that crowd. Doesn’t matter how close you are to me. Go and disappear into that darkness. You are still going to be good somewhere somehow, Alhamduilah. But I have a different duty. Salam alaykum wa rahmahtullah wa barakutu.”

Sahib el-Sayf speaks the Truth. And that Reality is not changing. So now, in this eleventh year, choose- be part of his work, be part of his way, be part of waking up the sleeping legend. Otherwise, we will disappear into the crowd.

May Allah not make us disappear like that. May Allah wake our hearts up. May Allah make us to be in our Sheykh’s work. May Allah make our hearts beat fast with Ashk. May Allah increase our strength. May Allah increase our Love of Him, His Habib, and of our Sheykh. May Allah make our hand to reach more to the Ummat. May Allah help us to raise the Flag of Islam! May Allah help us to serve the Ottomans! May Allah make us the servants of Mehdi (AS)! May Allah (SWT) count us to be with Sahib el-Sayf, in this life and in the next life. Amin.

This is the Month of the Holy Prophet (AS)- this is the month to wake up. This is the month to ask for our hearts to get electricity to wake up again. This is the month to sit down and say to our ego, enough, to return to the Guide. Because we have entered into very dark, very dangerous days, where we cannot even see black and white for what they are. In such days, the danger of the ego becomes even greater, because falling down means falling into the side of dajjal. May Allah protect us from that.

We need to take the advice that Hz. Mevlana Jelaleddin Rumi (KS) is giving, that is echoing in his Mesnevi Sherif, saying: “The Shah of the Prophets said, “I am the Ship in the Universal Sea, and so is that person who has vision like mine, the ones who are my true Khalifas.” We are the Ship of Nuh in the sea now- that’s the Truth. Don’t turn your face from this Ship, O youth…and unless you want this non-stop falling down and getting up again, this stumbling, sharpen your eye with the dust on the feet of a Holy One. Make the dust of his feet the kuhl of your eyes, so that you can strike the head of the rebel. Become a student showing your spiritual poverty- you might just be a needle, but they will make you to become Zul Fiqar. So make the dust of the Chosen Ones your kuhl– it will burn your eyes at first, but it’s curing them. The eye of the camel is shining, because it eats thorns for the sake of illuminating its eyes.” (Mesnevi, 4:3358-3380).

Insha’Allah in this blessed day of Shaban, let us look through the eyes of the one who has Eyes that see with the Noor of Allah, our Sheykh, and take the warning and the good news he is giving for this day.

He (KS) is saying: “So, we are living the last days. The Ahir of ahir zaman. The worst that never ever happened. And preparing something to happen that ever never ever happen again too. The worst time we are in it. Never happened like this, even in the time of Prophet Nuh (AS), didn’t happen like this. The worst. But, right after this darkness, the big light is coming. That never and ever happened on the face of earth again. The time of Mahdi (AS), Hz. Mahdi is ready. You are not ready, he is ready. He doesn’t need you. Believe me. He is holding tightly to his Lord. He doesn’t need us. Allah (SWT) gave us a part in it. If you are holding tightly, you will be the most blessed one that ever came to the face of earth. Right after that, Judgment Day is coming. And the people are going to come to judgment place, and one group of the people that is going to come to the judgment place, even the Prophets they are going to be shocked. The angels they are going to be shocked, they never know these ones. They are going to talk to each other saying, “which Prophets are these?” They are not Prophets. They are those people that they are holding tightly in this darkness, tried to bring Islam up.

Yes. We failed. Our grandfathers have failed. They brought Islam down. And we have to move, we have to rise to bring Islam up. Doesn’t matter if we can’t stand on that and died, it’s okay. You will die with the biggest honor that time.

O Believers! We are approaching to Laylatul Beraat, the Night of Accounting the Night of Destiny. May we run more in these days and nights to ask Allah (SWT) to forgive us, for our ayip to not be written in our book, and for the Shefaat of the Holy Prophet (AS) and our Sheykh to come to us.

May we spend these days and nights to come closer to our Allah, and not further from Him. May we increase in obedience and not in disobedience. May we increase in submission and not in rebelliousness. May we increase in Muhabbat and not in betrayal. May we stay in the Ship, and not try to find safety in the illusion of a mountain.

May our hearts be with the heart of Habibullah (AS) and his inheritors, and be busy with what they’re busy with, and may our energy be spent in doing their work. May we not be busy with our own selfish and small concerns. May Allah always give us the chance to reach to others, to help others, to help the Ummat. May He (SWT) not leave us alone.

May we fit to the Ayat, BismillahirRahmanirRahim “Those who obey Allah and the Messenger are with those whom Allah has blessed-the Nabiyyin (Prophets), the Siddiqīn, the Shuhada’ and the Saliheen. And excellent are they as companions.” Sadaqallahul Azim (4:69).

O Believers! Shaban is a Month of Mercy. Shaban is a Month of Forgiveness. Shaban is a Month of Tawba. We must run to connect ourselves again to our Holy Prophet (AS), through our Sheykh, so that we can be pleasing to our Lord. These nights and days should be spent taking accounting of ourselves, and making intention to fix ourselves. These days and nights should be filled with dua and asking forgiveness from our Lord.”-Sheykh Lokman Efendi Hz.
