𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕄𝔼𝕊𝕊𝔸𝔾𝔼:
David was a man who embodied forgiveness. There are several examples of him showing forgiveness in Scripture. The most popular example of him showing forgiveness is with Saul. Saul actively sought ways of killing David, from throwing a javelin at him in the palace to actually following him and his men into the woods. Yet, when David got the chance to easily kill him, he refused to avenge himself (1 Samuel 24:3-12, 26:9-11). After the death of Saul, Abner continued to fight for the house of Saul until there was a quarrel between him and Ishbosheth. Abner defected to David and David accepted him. Once he came for reconciliation, David forgave him and welcomed him (2 Samuel 3:20).

When Absalom revolted against David, Shimei the son of Gera decided to use the opportunity to revile David (2 Samuel 16:5-10). David refused to allow Abishai or any of his men to attack him. This same Shimei ran to welcome David and seek forgiveness when David was restored (2 Samuel 19:22-23). David chose to forgive at the time and leave his punishment to someone else.

Absalom himself enjoyed the forgiveness of David the king but he misused it. He killed his brother, Amnon, and escaped to another country. David

𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕄𝔼𝕊𝕊𝔸𝔾𝔼:
The New Testament Greek word for Administration is "diakonia" which means service, ministering, etc. It entails putting the right people in the position of effective running of the church or any other human endeavours. Proper administration engenders orderliness, decency, discipline, responsibility, harmony, effectiveness, and productivity. The truth is that right and proper administration in any setting enhances great productivity either in the secular or in spiritual matters.

Apparently, there was proper administration right at the beginning when God placed man in the garden. Man, created in the image of God, was placed at the helm of affairs, exercising dominion and control over every other creature until he fell into sin. A careful look at the operations of the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ in the Gospels implicitly reveals the dynamics of effective administration. For instance, the Master appointed a Group Treasurer in charge of their finances, and assignments were distributed hitch-free.

We started considering this discourse yesterday. The undeniable fact I am trying to emphasise to you is that for you to tap into all the fullness of God and into all His divine promises, your mind must have been permeated by faith that is anchored to His unfailingly word. It must be settled in your mind that God is not a liar, that He has the power to bring into reality whatever He has promised you.

All the heroes of faith whom we have read about in our Fire Scripture in Hebrews chapter eleven demonstrated uncommon, highly challenging and awe-inspiring dimension of faith that will keep questioning the faith of contemporary believers. But the common index of their faith is that they all possessed the sound texture of mind needed for a conquering faith. They believed strongly first in their mind that God could do what He had promised them. Do you have the same mind? Have you settled it in your mind that the Almighty God, the Creator of the whole universe and everything therein, He who is the All-powerful can give you that breakthrough, that prosperity, that healing, the babies, the testimony of joy and laughter you have been trusting Him for? David was a man of war. In fact, war was not strange to him. He faced many battles on his way to the throne and faced more on the throne. However, the beautiful thing is that he always conquered because God was with him.

David was announced to the whole of Israel in a war, when he killed Goliath. He was Saul's captain; he fought against the Philistines and gave their foreskins as bride price to Saul for his daughter, Michal (1 Samuel 18:13,27). Also, David and his men used to carry out raids while he was still a fugitive (1 Samuel 27:8-11). They used to attack towns that were enemies of Israel, the ones Joshua should have destroyed. Thus, they continued to carry out the judgement of God on those nations.

When David eventually became king, his battles did not end. He continued to fight battles and the Lord also continued to help him. His men of war were well trained so that even when David grew weak, they were able to cover and defend him (2 Samuel 21:15-17).

As Christians, we are in a battle and we have been called to be warriors. There is a constant struggle between light, which we represent, and darkness; and it is impossible to be neutral. We cannot afford to be unprepared at any time because the enemy of our s
