Behold My Servant
By AndiBecker Proms

Behold My Servant, chosen and true,
The Spirit rests upon Him.
He brings forth justice, faithful and new,
A light where shadows have been.

He does not shout to win the street,
He does not break the bruised reed.
He lifts the weak with mercy’s hand,
He sees the wounded, knows their need.
In cities tired, in homes afraid,
Where children cry and nations shake,
His justice comes, not cold or proud,
But like the dawn when night will break.

Behold My Servant, holy and strong,
Light of the nations, hope of the world.
He bears the sorrow, He rights the wrong,
God’s saving mercy is unfurled.
Rise up, rise up, let every heart sing,
The Lord has spoken, His kingdom will come.
Behold the Servant, Savior and King,
God’s will is finished through His Son.

From the womb He was called,
For a mission deep and wide.
To bring God’s people home again,
And draw the nations to His side.
“I worked in tears, I spent My strength,
It seemed My labor fell like dust.
Yet My cause is with the Lord,
My reward is in His trust.”

When our work feels lost and small,
When the harvest seems delayed,
God still sees the hidden seed,
God remembers love and faith.

Morning by morning, He hears the word,
The Father teaches Him to speak.
A word for the weary, a song for the poor,
Strength for the broken and the weak.
He gave His back, He did not turn,
He faced the shame, He held His peace.
The Lord God helped Him through the pain,
His faith stood firm and did not cease.

He was despised, rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows, acquainted with grief.
Yet He carried what crushed our souls,
And by His wounds we receive peace.
Not for His sin, but ours He bore,
Not for His guilt, but love He came.
Like a lamb He walked the road,
And heaven honors His holy name.

So in this world of fear and fire,
Where truth is sold and hearts grow cold,
We follow Him with servant hearts,
With mercy brave and justice bold.
We feed the hungry, lift the low,
We speak God’s peace where hatred grows.
For Christ has risen, Christ will reign,
And every nation soon shall know.

Behold My Servant, Savior and King,
God’s will is finished through His Son.
Behold My Servant, Savior and King,
God’s will is finished through His Son.

Amen, amen, amen.

Background Story — Behold My Servant

Behold My Servant was born from the deep hope found in the Servant Songs of Isaiah. These ancient words speak of God’s chosen Servant, gentle but strong, wounded yet victorious, rejected by people but honored by God. In Isaiah, the Servant does not come with loud pride or political power. He comes with mercy, truth, endurance, and a mission to bring light not only to Israel, but to all nations.

This song connects those prophecies with the life and mission of Jesus Christ. He is the One who brings justice without crushing the weak, who speaks comfort to the weary, who suffers without hatred, and who carries the sorrow and sin of the world. What looked like defeat became God’s greatest victory. The cross became the place where mercy, justice, and love met.

The song also speaks into our world today. Many people feel tired, forgotten, disappointed, or afraid. Nations are shaken by conflict, families are under pressure, children need protection, and truth is often treated as something cheap. In such a world, Isaiah’s message is not old or distant. It is alive. God still calls His people to follow the Servant’s way: to lift the bruised, speak hope to the weary, defend the weak, and shine as light in dark places.

Sung by an enthusiastic Baptist choir and lifted by a full orchestra, Behold My Servant is meant to sound like a declaration of faith. It begins with reverence, grows through the sorrow of the suffering Servant, and rises into victory. The choir does not only sing about Christ; it invites the church to follow Him. The song reminds us that faithful service may seem hidden or unrewarded, but God sees every seed planted in love.

At its heart, this is a song of worship and calling: Behold the Servant, behold the Savior, and become servants of His kingdom in the world today.

“Rejoice, God Is Near” was written as a bilingual English–Thai workshop worship song inspired by Philippians 4:4–7.

The song begins with a child or young person feeling overwhelmed by everyday life: school, work, messages, bad news, noise, pressure, and fear. Instead of pretending that everything is fine, another voice gently answers with the message of Philippians: rejoice in the Lord, be gentle, pray about everything, give thanks, and trust that God’s peace will guard the heart and mind.

The song is built as a simple call-and-response so children, families, churches, and community groups can sing it together. The repeated refrain — “Rejoice, rejoice, God is near / Pray, pray, He will hear” — is meant to stay in the heart like a small prayer people can remember during stressful moments.

Its message is simple: even in a loud and worried world, God is near. When we turn anxiety into prayer and remember to give thanks, His peace can become stronger than fear.

Dear parents of international schools in Phuket,

It may be time for all of us to ask a very simple but very important question:

Who are the foreign teachers teaching our children — and do they legally have the right to teach in Thailand?

Recent findings by parents at an international school in Phuket have raised serious concerns. One father reportedly asked teachers directly whether they had the legally required documents to teach. According to the information collected, at least 14 foreign teachers could not show all required papers. Some allegedly did not even have a correct Non-B visa or a work permit for the school where they were teaching. Others appeared not to have the required teaching authorization from Khurusapha, the Teachers’ Council of Thailand.

This should concern every parent.

Before a foreign teacher teaches students in a Thai or international school, the school and the teacher should be able to show that the teacher has the required legal documents.

Parents can politely ask every foreign teacher of their children these three simple questions:

1. Do you have a valid Non-B visa?
2. Can you show your temporary or permanent teacher’s license / teaching permission issued by Khurusapha in Bangkok?
3. Can you show your work permit, and does it name this school as your workplace?

Please write down the results.

If a teacher cannot show all three required documents, parents should submit the teacher’s name and the school name to the responsible MOE office in Phuket, including the Phuket Primary Educational Service Area Office / responsible education authority.

This is not an attack on good foreign teachers. Many foreign teachers work legally, honestly, and professionally. Those teachers deserve respect.

But no school should place children in classrooms with foreign staff who are not legally authorized to teach.

Some teachers may say: “The documents are in process.”

But parents need to understand this clearly: being “in process” is not the same as already being legally allowed to teach. A teacher should not teach students until the required documents have actually been issued.

The three key documents are:

✅ correct Non-B visa
✅ temporary or permanent Thai teaching authorization from Khurusapha
✅ work permit naming the correct school and position

It is also important for foreign teachers themselves to understand that they should not allow schools to put them at risk. If a school delays, avoids, or refuses to help them obtain the proper documents, teachers should report this to the Ministry of Education or the relevant authority.

The MOE and other supervising authorities cannot solve problems they never hear about. If parents and teachers stay silent, illegal employment and unsafe school practices can continue.

The recent events reported by parents show that this issue must be solved urgently — before more children are harmed, misled, or placed into classrooms where basic legal and professional standards are not being followed.

Parents pay high school fees because they expect safety, quality, transparency, and qualified teachers.

So let us ask respectfully, clearly, and together:

Please show us the legal documents that prove you are allowed to teach our children in Thailand.

Protecting children starts with asking the right questions.
