The Practice of Migtsema, Mantra Prayer of Je Tsongkhapa
Pattaya 15-18 October 2026

At the Fall Festival 2026 in Malaga, Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong will grant the empowerment of the Wisdom Buddha Je Tsongkhapa. She will also explain how to develop and improve our faith in our Spiritual Guide seen as one with Je Tsongkhapa, and on the practice of Migtsema, the special mantra and prayer of praise and request to Je Tsongkhapa. Many of Je Tsongkhapa's disciples attained enlightenment through this practice.

On this short post-festival retreat, our Resident Teacher Steve Potter will guide us through the main meditations of the Heart Jewel practice, allowing us to contemplate and meditate on the meaning of the teachings we have just received at the festival and focusing on the Migtsema prayer. If you have not received the teachings at the festival you are still invited and can gain great benefit from this practice and retreat.

Happy Thai New Year

Thai New Year know as Songkran in Thailand.
Songkran is the Thai New Year festival held annually from April 13-15, marking a time of purification, family reunions, and massive, nationwide water fights. Rooted in Buddhist tradition, it symbolizes washing away of negative karma.

The Foundation Program (FP) in Modern Kadampa Buddhism is open to anyone who would like the opportunity to deepen their understanding and experience of Buddhism through a formal and systematic study of six texts. It is also the first step towards becoming a qualified Kadampa Meditation teacher for those who wish to do so.

Foundation Program classes will begin in Thailand on Wednesday 22 April, and will take place weekly on Wednesdays from 7-9pm. Students are expected to commit to the programme of study and should attend all classes if possible - both in-person and online attendance are possible.
