Purported to be the tallest Buddha image in all of Thailand, this concrete-and-marble construction is due to be finished around this time next year. The project covers 42 rai (6.72 hectare) of land on what was a Japanese military base during World War II. There are actually two Pangmarnvichai Buddha images; one is a gold-alloy Buddha image which is 5.49 meters wide, 12.49 meters in height and weig
hs 22 tons. This Buddha image is now complete and on display for public to pay respect. The larger Buddha image will be 25.45 meters wide and 45 meters tall completed.
