This Sunday Pastor Nathan Harms brought a powerful word to us
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO FOLLOW JESUS? ✝️

Jesus said:

“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”
— Matthew 16:24

Following Jesus is more than simply believing in Him. It is a wholehearted decision to surrender our lives to Him.

In Matthew 16, Jesus gives us three clear demands of discipleship:

✝️ Deny yourself , Our lives are not our own. We are called to turn away from self-centered living and find our identity in Christ.

✝️ Take up your cross, Following Jesus means submitting to His authority and being willing to live sacrificially for Him, even when it comes at a cost.

✝️ Follow Jesus forever, Discipleship is not a temporary commitment. We are called to follow Christ faithfully, every day, until the end.

The world tells us to protect our comfort, pursue success, and live for ourselves. Jesus calls us to something greater to surrender our lives so that we may truly find life in Him.

“For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” Matthew 16:25

May we daily choose to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Christ not for our own glory, but for His.

What would it look like for you to follow Jesus more fully today? 🙏

Tonight, we are going to look at two of the most well-known miracles of Jesus in Mark 6 and 8 and carefully discuss what scripture tells us about who God is, who Jesus is, and who we are.

🔥THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH IS UNSTOPPABLE 🔥
Acts 5:17–42

This Sunday, Rev Dr Peter Gaiku reminded us of a powerful truth: persecution may challenge the Church, but it cannot stop the mission of God.

In Acts 5, the apostles were arrested and placed in prison because they were proclaiming the Gospel. But during the night, an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and told them:

“Go, stand in the temple courts,” he said, “and tell the people all about this new life.”
Acts 5:20

The apostles didn't run away. They didn't stop. They went back and continued proclaiming Jesus.

Rev Gaiku reminded us that the mission of the Church is to glorify God, proclaim Christ, make disciples, plant and strengthen churches, and demonstrate God's love that is unstoppable.

What can we learn from Acts 5?

1. God's mission is unstoppable:
Opposition, imprisonment, rejection, and persecution cannot prevent God's purposes from moving forward.

2. We must obey God's call.
When the apostles were commanded to stop preaching, Peter and the other apostles responded:

“We must obey God rather than human beings.
— Acts 5:29

3. We are called to persevere.
After being beaten and warned, the apostles left rejoicing that they had been counted worthy of suffering for the name of Jesus. They continued teaching and proclaiming Christ.

4. We are called to be witnesses
Acts 1:8 reminds us that we receive power through the Holy Spirit to be Christ's witnesses beginning where we are and reaching to the ends of the earth.

Rev Gaiku also reminded us that Christians around the world continue to face persecution, imprisonment, displacement, and violence because of their faith. These are not simply statistics they represent real people who need our prayers and support.

So how should we respond?

🙏 Pray for those who are persecuted.
💪Persevere when we face opposition.
📖Continue proclaiming the Gospel.
❤️Pray even for those who persecute us.

Our hope is found in the words of Jesus:

“I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”
Matthew 16:18

And Romans 8 reminds us that nothing not trouble, hardship, persecution, danger, or even death can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus.

The Church may face opposition. The road may not always be easy. But the mission continues.

🔥The mission of the Church is unstoppable!
🌍The Gospel continues to advance.
✝️ Jesus is building His Church

This Sunday we were blessed with the speaker nathan from Bangkok City Baptist Church.🌿 Where Is True Happiness Found?

What makes you happy? Is it success, relationships, money, experiences, or the things this world has to offer?

In Psalm 84, we are reminded that the happiness we long for cannot ultimately be found in what the world offers. True happiness is found in being with God.

The psalm reveals three sources of true happiness:

✨ Desiring God’s Presence : Happy are those who long to dwell in God’s presence.

💪 Finding Our Strength in God. We are not called to rely on ourselves, but to trust God through every hardship, struggle, and season of dryness.

🙏 Enjoying God’s Presence by Faith . We draw near to God by trusting Him. As believers, we enter His presence through faith in Jesus Christ.

One powerful reminder from the sermon was:

“Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere.” Psalm 84:10

The world tells us to pursue whatever makes us happy, but its pleasures will never fully satisfy. Only God can satisfy the deepest longings of our hearts and give us a joy that lasts.

Even when we feel unnoticed or forgotten, God sees us, knows us, and cares for us. Just as He remembers the sparrow, He remembers you. 🕊️

So this week, take a moment to examine your heart:

What do you desire most? Where are you looking for happiness? Are you finding your strength in God or in yourself?

May our greatest desire be to know Him, trust Him, and dwell in His presence.

True happiness is found in being with God. ❤️

This Sunday, We were blessed with Chaplin Ray smith.
God Can Use You — Acts 3:1–10

Have you ever thought, “I can never do anything significant for God”?

The truth is you’re right. None of us can do anything significant for God in our own strength.

But here’s the good news: God can do mighty things through you when you surrender to Him.

In Acts 3, Peter and John encounter a man who had been lame from birth. He asked them for money, but Peter gave him something far greater:

“In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” — Acts 3:6

Peter wasn't a doctor. He wasn't performing this miracle through his own ability. He was an ordinary fisherman, empowered by the Holy Spirit and surrendered to God.

And the result?

The man who had been unable to walk jumped to his feet, walked, and began praising God.

What a powerful reminder that God doesn't need extraordinary people. He uses ordinary people who are willing to surrender to Him.

The question isn't, “What can I do?”

The question is, “What can God do through me?”

Our gifts, our abilities, our circumstances—even the things we think disqualify us—can become instruments in God's hands.

And when God works through us, the glory belongs to Him.

You may feel ordinary. You may feel inadequate. You may even feel like you have nothing to offer. But when you surrender what you have to God, He can use it for His kingdom.

🙌 God can do mighty things through a surrendered heart.
