I am frustrated. Given the first members of our sunday group are elderly, they talk more than me, and it is very hard to get through a sermon. Please pray for patience on my part, that i would be faithful in what God has given me, and learn to do as paul instructed timothy, to teach the elderly like i would my parents... even though teaching parents is seen as inappropriote in thai culture. Thanks for fang, and her help in adding applicable testimony related to the content of my sermon. Hopefully in the months to come we will have more order, more members, and a second group for interested peoples.

Would a Thai Reformed Church be healthier, and end up lasting longer than another kind of church? What are some reasons you think that the lack of Reformed Theology is a factor in the lack of long lasting churches/conversions in Thailand?

There were like a hundred university students at church today, invited to hear the sermon, and then when it was finished they preacher invited them to ask questions... The students didnt ask any but their teacher did "what about heaven, who goes to heaven?" to which 2 different preachers gave several examples to the Muslim and Buddhist students of who goes to heaven, and were as polite as possible... and then the teacher got up and said "well then, there is no contradiction between our faiths.... " to which the pastor made the most amusing face... like "are you serious... you are the teacher and didnt get anything i just said?"

I liked the questions thing, but answers need to be short, with only a few proofs. I would say "Sinners go to hell, all people are sinners, all sinners are completely sinful, but God paid the price for sin with the death of Jesus, so through him, all people from all religious backgrounds, can receive eternal life. But that would mean that Muslims, and Buddhists will not be in heaven... "..... then read some Scriptures... then conclude. Next question...

Have you noticed arminians coined their own phrases to refer to salvation... what are your favorite unbiblical phrases they use?
Accept Jesus (because Jesus is apparently not irresistable)
Asked Jesus into their heart (he has to say yes if i ask right)
invited Jesus in (nope, he busted down the door to your hard heart like superman)
I made Jesus the lord of my life... (as if, he made himself lord...)
Biblical terms:
Born again
Believed
Repented
Granted (not common but might as well be)
was given a new heart
was given new life
became a new creature
Take your pick and stop being unbiblical
Start giving Glory to God not yourself for your salvation that you didn't choose, but he gave you, and it was too good to turn down.
