Jesus told His followers that in this world, we will have trouble (John 16:33). But He also said to 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗛𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱. Through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, we are brought back to God and given the promise of eternal life with Him. Our sin has consequences here on earth and even after we die. We are not free of the consequences our mistakes bring while we are on earth. But 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐧, meaning we will not be punished forever. 𝙊𝙧 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙮 𝙜𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙤 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩?

Last Sunday, at Encounter Lighthouse Church Rayong, we began our new sermon series, “𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐖𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫,” with a powerful message from Pastor Macy based on Hebrews 10:19–25. Through God’s Word, we were reminded that gathering as the Church is far more than attending a service, it is a sacred privilege made possible through Christ and an essential expression of our faith. 🙌

Here are the 3 Reasons Why We Gather:

➡️ 𝓦𝓮 𝓖𝓪𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓻 𝓽𝓸 𝓦𝓸𝓻𝓼𝓱𝓲𝓹 𝓖𝓸𝓭 𝓣𝓸𝓰𝓮𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓻

Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we have been given direct access to the presence of God. Gathering together is not merely a tradition, it is a privilege purchased by His blood. Just as the early church devoted themselves to worship together, we are called to come before God with sincere hearts and worship Him as one body. ✨

“And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.” — Hebrews 10:19–20

➡️ 𝓦𝓮 𝓖𝓪𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓻 𝓽𝓸 𝓗𝓸𝓵𝓭 𝓕𝓪𝓼𝓽 𝓽𝓸 𝓞𝓾𝓻 𝓗𝓸𝓹𝓮

Life brings challenges, pressure, distractions, and even disappointments that can tempt us to drift away. Yet Scripture calls us to remain steadfast, holding firmly to the hope we profess because God is faithful to His promises. Gathering with fellow believers strengthens our faith and reminds us that we do not walk this journey alone. ✨

“Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.” — Hebrews 10:23

➡️ 𝓦𝓮 𝓖𝓪𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓻 𝓽𝓸 𝓔𝓷𝓬𝓸𝓾𝓻𝓪𝓰𝓮 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓜𝓸𝓽𝓲𝓿𝓪𝓽𝓮 𝓞𝓷𝓮 𝓐𝓷𝓸𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓻

Biblical encouragement goes beyond offering kind words, it comforts the discouraged, exhorts believers to remain faithful, and stirs one another toward love and good works. We gather not only to receive but also to strengthen, challenge, and build up one another as we prepare for Christ’s return. ✨

"Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near." — Hebrews 10:24–25

As the message came to a close, we were reminded that the Church is not simply a place we attend, it is God’s gathered people. We gather to worship God together, to hold fast to our hope together, and to encourage one another toward lives marked by love and good works. We do this with eager expectation because the day of Christ’s return is drawing near. 🙏

Church, let us never take gathering together for granted. May we come with hearts ready to worship, faith that remains steadfast, and a genuine desire to encourage those around us. Let us choose commitment over convenience, unity over division, and hope over discouragement. As we continue this new series, “When We Gather,” may every gathering deepen our love for Christ, strengthen our fellowship with one another, and prepare us to faithfully live for His glory until the day He returns. 🙏✨

“Christ is the one who holds the building together and makes it grow into a holy temple for the Lord. And you are part of that building that Christ has built as a place for God's Spirit to live.” - Ephesians 2:21-22

𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬.

Just like Phoebe, we can help others in simple but meaningful ways. We don’t need to do something big for God to use us. We can serve by:
- helping at home
- sharing what we have
- being kind to a classmate
- helping someone who needs it

𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙚 𝙙𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩, 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙂𝙤𝙙’𝙨 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚. People can learn to trust us when we are helpful and kind. Even small acts like picking up toys, helping a friend, or saying kind words, matter to God. 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙂𝙤𝙙’𝙨 𝘾𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙝.

𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝, 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝙂𝙤𝙙.

Throughout the “Always Enough” series, we have learned to trust God when we have not enough, to be content when we have just enough, and now, in the final message, we are reminded to remain faithful even when we have more than enough. Prosperity is not our greatest danger, forgetfulness is. 🙌

Last Sunday, at Encounter Lighthouse Church Rayong, we concluded our “𝐀𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐄𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡” sermon series with a powerful message entitled “𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡” Through Deuteronomy 8, Pastor Macy, faithfully translated into Thai by Sis. Bua, reminded us that every blessing we receive should draw us closer to God, not farther away from Him. As God entrusts us with abundance, He calls us to walk in humility, obedience, and continual remembrance of His faithfulness.

➡️ 𝓓𝓸 𝓷𝓸𝓽 𝓯𝓸𝓻𝓰𝓮𝓽 𝓖𝓸𝓭 𝓫𝔂 𝓷𝓸𝓽 𝓴𝓮𝓮𝓹𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓗𝓲𝓼 𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓶𝓪𝓷𝓭
God’s blessings should never lead us away from His commands. As He prospers us, we must remain watchful over our hearts and intentional in our obedience. We are called to be careful in how we live, guarding ourselves against anything that could cause us to forget the Lord.

“But that is the time to be careful! Beware that in your plenty you do not forget the Lord your God and disobey his commands, regulations, and decrees that I am giving you today.” — Deuteronomy‬ ‭8‬:‭11‬ ‭NLT

“For when you have become full and prosperous and have built fine homes to live in, and when your flocks and herds have become very large and your silver and gold have multiplied along with everything else, be careful!”

➡️ 𝓓𝓸 𝓷𝓸𝓽 𝓯𝓸𝓻𝓰𝓮𝓽 𝓖𝓸𝓭 𝓫𝔂 𝓫𝓮𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓹𝓻𝓸𝓾𝓭
Pride quietly convinces us that our achievements are the result of our own strength. Yet every blessing, opportunity, and success comes from God alone. When we allow pride to take root, we begin to forget the One who rescued, sustained, and provided for us.

“Do not become proud at that time and forget the Lord your God, who rescued you from slavery in the land of Egypt.” — Deuteronomy‬ ‭8‬:‭14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“You have been deceived by your own pride because you live in a rock fortress and make your home high in the mountains. ‘Who can ever reach us way up here?’ you ask boastfully.” — Obadiah‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

➡️ 𝓓𝓸 𝓷𝓸𝓽 𝓯𝓸𝓻𝓰𝓮𝓽 𝓽𝓸 𝓡𝓮𝓶𝓮𝓶𝓫𝓮𝓻 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓛𝓸𝓻𝓭 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓖𝓸𝓭
God is the source of every good thing we have. He gives us the strength to work, the wisdom to succeed, and the grace to fulfill His purpose. Remembering His faithfulness keeps our hearts humble and our lives centered on Him.

“Remember the Lord your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful, in order to fulfill the covenant he confirmed to your ancestors with an oath.” ‭‭— Deuteronomy‬ ‭8‬:‭18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“For only the godly will live in the land, and those with integrity will remain in it.” — Proverbs‬ ‭2‬:‭21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

As we concluded the “Always Enough” series, we were left with a powerful reminder for every season of life: When we have not enough, let us depend on God. When we have just enough, let us be content and praise God. When we have more than enough, let us never forget God. Whether in seasons of need, sufficiency, or abundance, our hearts must always remain anchored in the One who is eternally faithful.

Church, let us guard our hearts against forgetfulness and pride. May every blessing become a reason to worship rather than a reason to rely on ourselves. Let us walk in obedience, remain humble in every season, and continually remember that every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord.

Above all, let us keep our eyes fixed on Christ, who is, has always been, and will always be more than enough. 🙏✨

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤𝙤 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚—𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙖𝙡𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙪𝙨 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜?

In a world that constantly tells us we need more, God’s Word reminds us that true satisfaction is not found in abundance but in the One who faithfully provides. ✨

Last July 12, at Encounter Lighthouse Church Rayong, we continued our “Always Enough” sermon series with a powerful message entitled “Just Enough.” Through the life-changing truths found in Deuteronomy 8, Pastor Paul reminded us that contentment is not about possessing everything we desire but about trusting the God who is always enough.

As stewards of His blessings, we are called not only to receive His provision but to worship the Giver above the gifts.

➡️ 𝓑𝓮 𝓢𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓼𝓯𝓲𝓮𝓭 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝓖𝓸𝓭’𝓼 𝓟𝓻𝓸𝓿𝓲𝓼𝓲𝓸𝓷
Contentment is not comfort, or is it having everything we want. True contentment is trusting the One who always provides enough. We are not owners but stewards, God provides, His people receive with gratitude, and His people respond in worship.

➡️ 𝓦𝓸𝓻𝓼𝓱𝓲𝓹 𝓗𝓲𝓶 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝓦𝓱𝓸 𝓗𝓮 𝓘𝓼
Gratitude thanks God for what He has done, but worship adores God simply for who He is. Our worship must go beyond blessings. Like Job, who continued to worship despite losing everything, we are called to fix our hearts on God’s unchanging character rather than on our changing circumstances.

“You shall bless the LORD your God for the good land He has given you.” — Deuteronomy 8:10

“The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” — Job 1:21

As the message came to a close, we were challenged with a life-changing perspective: from owners to worshippers. We own nothing; everything we have has been entrusted to us by God. Our greatest treasure is not found in earthly possessions but in Christ Himself. We worship not because God gives us everything we desire, but because He has already given us His very presence.

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” — Matthew 6:21

Church, let us choose contentment over comparison, stewardship over ownership, and worship over worry. May we never allow God’s blessings to become greater than the God who blesses. Whether we have much or little, let our hearts remain anchored in Christ, who is always enough.

As we leave each service and step into a new week, may our lives declare that our greatest treasure is not what we possess, but the Savior who gave Himself for us. Let us continue to trust Him, worship Him, and live faithfully as stewards of all He has entrusted to our care. 🙏✨

“Christ is the one who holds the building together and makes it grow into a holy temple for the Lord. And you are part of that building that Christ has built as a place for God's Spirit to live.” - Ephesians 2:21-22

𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞!

Just like Junia, 𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙗𝙚 𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨. Being brave doesn’t mean we are never scared, 𝙞𝙩 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙙𝙤 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙚 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙤𝙪𝙨. We can be brave by:
- telling the truth
- being kind when others are not
- including someone who is left out
- sharing about Jesus with a friend.

We don’t have to be loud or famous for God to use us. When we keep choosing to follow Jesus, love others, and do what is right, God can use us to lead others and help build His Church.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪?

Many of us ask God to remove the difficult seasons in our lives. Yet throughout Scripture, we see that God often uses the wilderness not to abandon His people, but to prepare them for His promises. ✨

Last July 5, at Encounter Lighthouse Church Rayong, we started our “𝐀𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐄𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡” sermon series with a timely message entitled “𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐄𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬.” Through Deuteronomy 8:1–6, Pastor Nick, translated into English by Sis. Bua, reminded us that every wilderness season has a divine purpose. God does not waste our struggles—He uses them to transform our hearts, strengthen our faith, and draw us closer to Him.

➡️ 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓓𝓮𝓼𝓮𝓻𝓽 𝓔𝔁𝓹𝓸𝓼𝓮𝓼 𝓨𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓗𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓽 𝓒𝓸𝓷𝓭𝓲𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 (Deuteronomy 8:1–2)
The wilderness reveals what is truly inside our hearts. God did not test Israel because He was unaware of their condition—He tested them so they would recognize their own need for Him. Difficult seasons expose our attitudes, priorities, and obedience, inviting us to humble ourselves before God.

"Be careful to obey all the commands I am giving you today. Then you will live and multiply, and you will enter and occupy the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors. Remember how the Lord your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would obey his commands." — Deuteronomy 8:2

➡️ 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓓𝓮𝓼𝓮𝓻𝓽 𝓡𝓮𝓬𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓫𝓻𝓪𝓽𝓮𝓼 𝓨𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓐𝓹𝓹𝓮𝓽𝓲𝓽𝓮 (Deuteronomy 8:3)
God sometimes allows earthly comforts to fade so that we would hunger for what truly satisfies. More than physical provision, He desires us to depend on His Word each day.

“Yes, he humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord." — Deuteronomy 8:3

➡️ 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓓𝓮𝓼𝓮𝓻𝓽 𝓟𝓻𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓼 𝓖𝓸𝓭’𝓼 𝓢𝓾𝓹𝓮𝓻𝓷𝓪𝓽𝓾𝓻𝓪𝓵 𝓟𝓸𝔀𝓮𝓻 (Deuteronomy 8:4)
God’s grace is often experienced not in the removal of the wilderness, but in the miraculous endurance He provides while we walk through it. His sustaining power is evidence of His constant faithfulness.

“For all these forty years your clothes didn’t wear out, and your feet didn’t blister or swell.” — Deuteronomy 8:4

➡️ 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓓𝓮𝓼𝓮𝓻𝓽 𝓒𝓸𝓷𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓶𝓼 𝓨𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓘𝓭𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓲𝓽𝔂 (Deuteronomy 8:5–6)
The wilderness reminds us that we are God’s children. His discipline is never meant to destroy us but to shape us into people who walk humbly and faithfully in His ways.

“Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good. “So obey the commands of the Lord your God by walking in his ways and fearing him.” — Deuteronomy‬ ‭8‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

As we reflected on God’s Word, we were reminded that the wilderness is not a sign of God’s absence—it is often the place where His presence becomes most evident. Before God leads us into His promises, He first prepares our hearts through seasons of testing, dependence, and transformation.

Church, let us not despise the wilderness, but embrace what God is accomplishing through it. Let us allow Him to search our hearts, reshape our desires, and strengthen our faith. Even when the journey is difficult, may we remember that God remains faithful, providing grace for every step and strength for every trial.

Let us walk in humility, trust His process, and continue following His ways, knowing that the God who leads us into the wilderness is the same God who faithfully leads us through it. 🙏✨

Just like Mary, 𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥 𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙂𝙤𝙙’𝙨 𝙛𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙮 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨. We can talk to God anytime by praying:

* when we wake up, before we sleep, or when we feel happy or scared
* with others, like our family or friends, because praying together reminds us that we are not alone and that God listens to us. If someone is having a hard time, we can pray for them and show love.

We can also 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙨𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨, just like Mary did:

* we can invite someone to Kids Church
* include a friend who feels left out
* be kind when others are not.

Even as kids, God can use us to bring people together, pray, and build His Church.
