Theme: The Transforming Power of Kenotic Love
Scripture: Romans 9: 1-5

❤️Kenotic Love means the supreme love illustration of God's love that is self giving or self emptying. It is Jesus reducing His divinity to fit into human flesh and the be willingly letting Himself be executed to take human feelings and actions spurred by hate and isolation, to give salvation to those who will believe Him in faith.

❤️An encounter with the Divine Love will change/transform us in ways we cannot anticipate.

❤️There is no sin too great and evil too vile in human beings that is too big to be encompassed by the Divine Love. His love is for all who are willing and ready to receive it.

❤️Our transformation does not come through the rigid keeping of rules, activities or gimmicks but from the Divine Love connecting us to God and to our neighbors.

❤️We cannot generate Kenotic Love on our own, it comes from the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit

❤️May we be blessed and transformed daily by Jesus' Kenotic Love. And may we be courageous to share this love to others.

Theme: The Reward of Receiving
Text: Matthew 10:40-42

We are in the season of Ordinary Time, and it is in our ordinary lives that God's extraordinary grace can be seen and heard.

This week's message reminded us that we, as the present-day disciples of Jesus, are not called to achieve something for Him that He does not accomplish Himself. We are called to the Finished Work of Jesus in the cross to receive His grace and to participate in it.

Our participation with the ministry of Jesus paves a way for us to RECEIVE more of His extravagant grace--hence in doing so, we're being rewarded of Jesus, the ultimate reward.
And this grace we receive will see us through every trials, persecutions, and challenges of being His disciple.

May we all continue to experience the fullness of God's grace as we positively response to His mission work today and everyday.

We are in our early weeks of Ordinary Time where our focus is on our being, our behavior and our actions as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Today, in the middle of the year 2023, we celebrate God's faithfulness through the months that have passed. We celebrate His power to heal us in spiritual, mental, social and emotional ailments that we are in.
We honor God because He accepts our sick state, brought it to His Son Jesus on the cross and by His stripes we are healed.

As we heard the healing stories in the book of Matthew 9, we are encouraged that we serve a God who proactively heals.

Matthew 9: 12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’a v For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

The incarnation means, in one sense, we have a God who is not indifferent to us. Instead, we have a God who has chosen to experience our worst and our best—to experience both what it means to be vulnerable and weak and to be celebrated and adored. He chose to cry tears and laugh out loud, and to take a nap when he was tired. Pause for a moment and reflect on what it means that Jesus is living a truly human life with you right now in the Spirit. Thank him for loving you enough to embrace all that it means to be human.

Jesus said: I am the Light of the World
John 8:1-12

🎄Christmas is also about the Light, thus we sing: Son of God, love's pure light. Radiant beams from Thy Holy Face with the dawn of redeeming grace. Jesus, Lord at Thy birth.

🕯️Light has come into this dark world, and we would never walk into darkness again.

💖JESUS, the pure Light.
💖JESUS, the constant Light.
💖JESUS, the victorious Light..

🙏Praise God for the changeless Light of Jesus that no matter how cold and dark our world may seem, it can always be brought back to life when the glorious light of the Son of God shines into our hearts. When we make Jesus our Lord and Savior, in Him we have hope, love and joy. He is the One who entered time and space of humanity in Bethlehem, turns the Light on so life begins for us.

🎶Hail the Son of righteousness! Light and life to all He brings, risen with Healing in His wings!

We celebrate the lives of the fathers in the church today. Fathers come in forms of a grandfather, uncle, stepfather, adoptive father, foster father, father-in-law, soon-to-be-father.

❤️From carrying us, to teaching us to speak, to holding pedals for us, and fixing things for us, how great and unique is the father's love. No one will ever outgrow the toughness, gentleness and silence of a father's care.

🙏Thank you our dear fathers for holding on, for keeping strong, for showing up, for providing always, and for loving hard. . Thank you for leading us to our Great Abba, Father.

♥️Our words, tears and gifts will never be enough to express our love and appreciation to you. So we pray that God will fill you with grace that will always be sufficient. We affirm you all today for all the great and small things you have done for us. We are ever proud of you. We love you.

❤️It is a blessed and fruitful fellowship today. Indeed God though His Son Jesus Christ is our Peace. In a world where the prince of the air is ready to steal, to kill and to destroy, let us focus on Jesus-the author and the finisher of our faith and be thankful because His hope and peace will surely make us through.

💓Let us welcome the WELCOMING hope, peace, love and joy in Jesus so we too, can welcome others.

😇Christ intended us from the beginning to bring us into life of wholeness and peace.
