Wonkwang University Delegation Visits The WFB Headquarters
Bangkok, Thailand – On 14th August B.E. 2569 (2026) Prof. Dr. Park Sung Tae, President of Wonkwang University, an affiliated organization of Won-Buddhism (a regional centre of The WFB in Republic of Korea), and Rev. Kang Yeon-seok, Director of International Affairs, led a delegation on an official visit to the World Fellowship of Buddhists Headquarters.
Dr. Park, the 14th President of Wonkwang University, brings extensive experience in academia, and public service. Under his leadership, the university is committed to advancing academia development and strengthening global engagement. He was accompanied during the visit by Rev. Sunmi Choi, Vice-President of WFBY and Abbot of Won-Buddhism Temple in Bangkok.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Phallop Thaiarry, President of The WFB, alongside key executives, Mr. Montian Thananart, Secretary-General; Mr. Kongkar Tipkeeree, Hon. Treasurer; Mrs. Sawanee Chuensumran, Deputy Secretary-General; and Mr. Idanont Thaiarry, Secretary-General of the World Fellowship of Buddhist Youth (WFBY).
During the meeting, the delegates discussed future collaboration among Wonkwang University, The WFB, and the World Buddhist University (WBU). Dr. Park expressed his hope that the organizations could serve as a bridge for propagating Dharma to contribute to the well-being of humanity and living-beings.
Dr. Park also shared that Wonkwang University is preparing to host the International Conference on Mindfulness and Applied Practice (ICMP) this coming October. The conference will provide an international platform for exchanging practical mindfulness approaches.
Mr. Idanont, representing the WBU working committee, noted that the International of Applied Mindfulness (I-AM) Institute, an affiliated section under the WBU, is developing a mindfulness course for corporate organizations aimed at fostering ethical responsibility and mindful leadership in the workplace.
All parties agreed that strengthened cooperation among the organizations could contribute to developing meaningful practices to address modern societal challenges.

อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยวอนกวางนำคณะเยือนสำนักงานใหญ่ องค์การ พ.ส.ล.
กรุงเทพมหานคร ประเทศไทย – เมื่อวันที่ 14 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2569 ดร.พัค ซุง แท อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยวอนกวาง ซึ่งเป็นสถาบันการศึกษาในเครือของ Won-Buddhism (ศูนย์ภาคีแห่งหนึ่งขององค์การ พ.ส.ล. ในสาธารณรัฐเกาหลี) พร้อมด้วยสาธุคุณ คัง ยอน ซอก ผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายการต่างประเทศ ได้นำคณะเดินทางเข้าเยี่ยมคารวะและหารือกับประธานองค์การและคณะผู้บริหารของ องค์การพุทธศาสนิกสัมพันธ์แห่งโลก (พ.ส.ล.) ณ สำนักงานใหญ่ อย่างเป็นทางการ
ดร.พัค อธิการบดีคนที่ 14 ของมหาวิทยาลัยวอนกวาง เป็นผู้มีความเชี่ยวชาญและประสบการณ์สูง ทั้งในด้านวิชาการ การบริหารงานและการบริการสังคม โดยมุ่งมั่นที่จะพัฒนาการศึกษาและเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือระดับนานาชาติมาโดยตลอด ในการนี้ สาธุคุณ ซอนมี ชเว รองประธานองค์การยุวพุทธศาสนิกสัมพันธ์แห่งโลก (ย.พ.ส.ล.) และเจ้าอาวาสวัด Won-Buddhism ในกรุงเทพมหานคร ได้ร่วมเดินทางมาพร้อมคณะด้วย
ในการนี้ นายพัลลภ ไทยอารี ประธาน พ.ส.ล. พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหาร ได้แก่ นายมณเธียร ธนานาถ เลขาธิการ, นายคงคา ทิพคีรี เหรัญญิก, นางเสาวนีย์ ชื่นสำราญ รองเลขาธิการ, และนายอิชฌน์อนนต์ ไทยอารี เลขาธิการ ย.พ.ส.ล. ได้ให้การต้อนรับอย่างอบอุ่น
การหารือร่วมกันในครั้งนี้ มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อแสวงหาแนวทางความร่วมมือในอนาคตระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยวอนกวาง, องค์การ พ.ส.ล. และมหาวิทยาลัยพระพุทธศาสนาแห่งโลก (ม.พ.ล.) โดย ดร.พัค ได้แสดงเจตนารมณ์ว่า ต้องการให้ทั้งสามองค์กรเป็นสะพานเชื่อมในการเผยแผ่ธรรมะ เพื่อส่งเสริมสวัสดิภาพและความสงบสุขของมนุษยชาติและสรรพสัตว์ทั้งหลาย
นอกจากนี้ อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยวอนกวาง ยังได้แจ้งว่า ทางมหาวิทยาลัยกำลังเตรียมจัดงานประชุมนานาชาติด้านสติและการประยุกต์ใช้ (International Conference on Mindfulness and Applied Practice - ICMP) ในเดือนตุลาคมที่จะถึงนี้ เพื่อเป็นเวทีระดับนานาชาติในการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และการนำสติไปปรับใช้จริง
ด้าน นายอิชฌน์อนนต์ ในฐานะตัวแทนคณะทำงานมหาวิทยาลัยพระพุทธศาสนาแห่งโลก (ม.พ.ล.) ได้กล่าวเสริมว่า สถาบันสติประยุกต์นานาชาติ (I-AM Institute) ซึ่งเป็นหน่วยงานในสังกัดของ ม.พ.ล.กำลังอยู่ในระหว่างการพัฒนาหลักสูตรสติสำหรับองค์กรธุรกิจ เพื่อส่งเสริมความรับผิดชอบทางจริยธรรมและการเป็นผู้นำที่มีคุณธรรมในองค์กร
ทั้งสองฝ่ายต่างเห็นพ้องกันว่า การกระชับความร่วมมือระหว่างองค์กรพุทธศาสนาและสถาบันการศึกษาในครั้งนี้ จะช่วยสร้างสรรค์แนวทางปฏิบัติและแนวทางการแก้ปัญหาที่มีความท้าทายในสังคมยุคปัจจุบันต่อไป
