Diamond Elephant Foundation donated 1,007,200THB (apprx. 32,263USD) to Wat Thung Hiang for renovating children's shelter under LP Boon partonage.
This shelter was taking care of 300 cultural children from all over Thailand and LP Boon has been taking care of these children for over 30 years.
The total budget is around 5,100,000THB and you can help LP boon by directly donate to this charity foundation. This foundation is clear, transparency and every cent will go directly to the construction, with no deduction to its operation.

เราบริจาคเพื่อเดินหน้าการปรับปรุงบ้านพักเด็กวัดทุ่งเหียง 1 ล้านบาท
มูลนิธิช้างเพชรได้เริ่มดำเนินโครงการปรับปรุงหอพักเด็กชายด้วยการบริจาคเงินจำนวน 1,007,000 บาทในวันที่ 17 มีนาคม 2564 แก่ทางวัดทุ่งเหียงเพื่อปรับปรุงหอในหลายจุด ประกอบด้วย ห้องน้ำเด็กชาย, ระบบบำบัดและระบายน้ำเสีย, ห้องอาบน้ำชายและรื้อถอนห้องน้ำเก่าเพื่อความสะอาดและสุขอนามัยของเด็ก ขอขอบคุณท่านประธานมูลนิธิคุณ Martin Haeberli และท่านรองประธานมูลนิธิ คุณ Torbjoern Larisch ที่ได้สนับสนุนและบริจาคเพื่อการปรับปรุงก่อสร้างโครงการนี้
งบประมาณทั้งหมดของโครงการตั้งไว้ที่ 5,100,000 บาทซึ่งจะปรับปรุงหลายจุดของบ้านพักเด็กแห่งนี้ แต่จุดที่เร่งด่วนในขณะนี้คือบริเวณหอพักเด็กชายซึ่งชำรุดทรุดโทรมมากและสุขอนามัยต่ำ
ที่ผ่านมาก เด็กๆ อาบน้ำด้วยบ่ออาบน้ำนอกอาคารซึ่งบางครั้งมีสิ่งสกปรกสบู่ตกลงไปในบ่อทำให้น้ำที่เด็กๆ ใช้อาบไม่สะอาด ทางมูลนิธิช้างเพชรวางแผนจะทำการปรับเปลี่ยนจากบ่ออาบน้ำเป็นระบบฝักบัวเพื่อน้ำที่สะอาดหมุนเวียน ไม่มีสิ่งสกปรกเจือปนในน้ำ
สนามเด็กเล่นซึ่งเป็นดินซึ่งมักจะมีน้ำท่วมขังในฤดูฝนและไม่มีระบบระบายน้ำ ทางมูลนิธิช้างเพชรมีแผนที่จะปรับปรุงสนามเด็กเล่นให้สะอาดและระบายน้ำได้ดี มีการเทพื้นคอนกรีตทั้งสนามและรางระบายน้ำป้องกันน้ำท่วม
มูลนิธิช้างเพชรยังมีอีกหลายโครงการเพื่อช่วยเหลือน้องๆ กลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ที่พักอาศัยและเรียนในวัดทุ่งเหียง และช่วยเหลือเด็กๆ ในพื้นที่ห่างไกลอีกหลายโครงการ

We donated 1 million Baht for renovation and construction for Wat Thung Hiang children shelter
We recently donated 1,007,200THB to Wat Thung Hiang for children shelter renovation and construction. This included boy dormitory facilities, such as toilets, wastewater drainage and treatment, shower room, and demolishing old toilets for children hygiene. We appreciated Khun Martin Haeberli and Khun Torbjoern Larisch for their big donation to this project.
The total estimated budget for the whole renovation and construction projects is 5,100,000 THB which will cover many areas of this children shelter, but the priority is the toilets and shower room of the boy dormitory which were out of work and very dirty.
In the past, children took baths from the small cement tank outside the dorm. Sometimes, soaps and dirty things fell into the tank and make the water dirty. Diamond Elephant Foundation plans to change the whole system from the bath tank into the shower room for circulated water and clean for children.
Besides, the children playground was flooded during the rainy season due to no drainage system. Diamond Elephant Foundation will construct the drainage trough and outlet with a concrete lawn to prevent the flood.
Diamond Elephant Foundation has many projects for children in Wat Thung Hiang shelter and cultural children in the remote area.
