Asian Tribal Ministries

Asian Tribal Ministries ATM from the onset of their Children of the Border project, has for over 30 years been humanitarian-based.

Venturing to many villages along the Thai-Burma border and to extreme remote areas which would otherwise be unreached. Giving food and clothing to orphanages, building schools and hospitals, providing medical supplies. ATM was on the ground with humanitarian aid when the massive natural disaster, Cyclone Nargis, hit the Irrawaddy Delta in 2008. From 2007, ATM has been actively involved in bringing

Peace and Development to the war-torn areas along the Thai-Burma border that have been ravaged by a war prolonged since 1949. ATM’s Discipleship Training School, in addition to their Bible Course, provides educational /vocational training workshops and opportunities for under-privileged young people from remote and tribal mountainous areas, whose future would otherwise be bleak with their only prospect being poverty, prostitution and/or drug abuse. ATM gives hope of a bright and positive future to the younger generation. ATM also offers an intensive course in Cross-Cultural Communications and a course in Leadership. When borders open once again, after CoVid-19 travel restrictions are lifted, ATM’s endeavours for Peace and Development in the Ethnic areas of Burma will be back in full-swing again.

Hi everyone,

Apologies for the delay on this post, after the fullness of camp, our team has just taken the time to rest and continuing with the pack down of camp but we just wanted to take the time to really say a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you who played a vital role in making Fire Camp a resounding success this year.

The theme, "The Overflow," brought about an incredible experience with the kids, and the presence of God was so thick.

Witnessing the transformation of non-Christian kids with 9 baptisms, and it was just a really sweet time and a really powerful time in the presence of God.

A special shout-out to those who generously contributed to funding camp this year, making it possible to provide the kids with a truly amazing experience.

We want to thank Paul and Timothy Richards for coming along and being part of camp with us this year. To Paul for sharing with the leaders during the workshops and taking on the preaching sessions and to Timothy for being such a diligent help from restringing guitars, stage decorations, to sealing up windows and taking part in the games.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to the YWAM team from Canada, we were not expecting what a powerhouse team you all were.
You were incredible and we are so grateful. Your servant hearts made such a significant impact to our team and the kids this year.

A big thank you to Kate Green for stepping in last minute, sharing a powerful message, and allowing the Spirit of God to lead. Also just for your heart to serve in any way that you could and for helping to provide the Bibles to hand out to the kids. We were so beyond blessed to have you.

To Asaphs Journal, we want to thank you for coming along and being a part of the worship team this year, we were so grateful to see you really give your all in the worship side of things, to Tim and Misty for sharing so incredibly in the workshops, and to Akom (Asaph’s Journal graduate) for leading so powerfully and for serving wholeheartedly on the team and Timmy for giving it your absolute all, we were so grateful for everything your brought to the team.

A special thank you to Bella and Kenny for coming alongside us after coming straight out of the big COC Conference to the full-on-ness that was Fire Camp. Kenny you were an irreplaceable member of the team and brought a lightness and joy with you and we're so grateful. To Bella for basically helping from the setting-up to running the camp with us and for lending your beautiful gift in singing to the worship team this year. You have such a strong work ethic, presence and servant heart.

We also want to thank Atom and his team for partnering with us for the sound each year, your diligence and excellence in what you do is something we are so grateful we can rely on each year.

Our immense gratitude also extends to the interns from Sozolife for their heartfelt help with setup and cleanup. Your team's dedication was a blessing, and we appreciated so much your delightful spirit in helping in whatever way you could.

To the leaders from various regions, Mae Khong Sai, Mae La Noi, Wieng Pao Pao, Mae Sot, Thaton, Chiang Rai, Doi Saket, and other areas of Chiangmai—your diverse contributions in everything from technical setup to cooking, translating and cleaning were such a vital part of making camp run this year. You truly were the backbone of this camp, and we are immensely grateful for your partnership.

Once again, thank you to everyone who played a part in this camp.

Stay tuned for exciting media updates in the coming weeks, including photos and videos.

We can't wait to share the highlights with all of you.

We want to say a big thank you to ones who gave towards school supplies for the children on the border. We were able to get pencils, erasers, rulers, notebooks, story books, crayons, glue sticks, school bags and teaching materials for the teachers including 2 large whiteboards and other items. Thanks to your generosity we were also able to go above and beyond and get toys for the children as well as snacks, with plenty left over for other urgent needs.

During the raining season we would not be able to get these supplies in without the tireless efforts of Ajarn Weerachai วีระชัย คติ who, as you can see, goes through great risk to make sure these kids can get what they need to survive. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

At Fire Camp this year, we're on a mission to dive deeper into worship and why it’s so important in our christian lives.

We believe that worshiping God isn't confined to the church but is a part of our daily walk with God.

Our workshops are a core part of our day sessions at Fire Camp and allow us to give practical teaching so that what the youth experience is not just a once a year occurrence but something that they can experience in their personal lives at home.

These workshops are designed to inspire and empower attendees in unique ways.

Firstly, our annual leadership workshop, led by our senior Pastors, is focused on ministering to the leaders who bring the kids to camp. These leaders spend every day of every year pouring out into the lives of these kids and this time allows us to pour into them and encourage them.

Additionally, we've got something special for our youth this year. We're thrilled to announce that Tim and Misty Scott, the founders of Asaph’s Journal Worship School in Thaton, will be leading a workshop with a particular focus on 'Worship.'

Why are we emphasizing worship so much?

Well, it's because we've witnessed the incredible impact it has had on our youth year after year during Fire Camp.

During a recent visit, we asked a group of young attendees if they had felt God's overwhelming presence during Fire Camp, and every hand shot up. However, when we inquired if they had experienced this outside of Fire Camp, not a single hand remained raised.

This isn't a reflection on us or our efforts but underscores a critical point: worship isn't confined to chapel sessions or church gatherings. It's about constantly communing with the presence of God daily.

Many of these youth come from backgrounds deeply rooted in Buddhist or non-Christian traditions, which can provide a rigid view of God. But each year, we've witnessed God breaking through, touching hearts, and leaving a lasting impact.

He desires for every young person to experience His presence and His love more and more as they grow in their relationship with Him. Once you've tasted the Lord's presence, nothing else compares.

This year, our goal is to equip all our youth with a true understanding of what it means to be marked by God, to be His children, and to walk in His presence daily.

It's all coming together, and we couldn't be more excited! ✨

We're thrilled to announce our Guest Speaker Lineup for this year so far!…..

And trust us, it's going to be absolutely epic!

First up, we have Ahjarn Seree (Timothy) returning once again. 🙌

For those who've been with us in previous years, you already know the incredible impact he brings with him each year.

But that's not all! 🌏 This year we are introducing Paul Richards, a dynamic internationally renowned speaker all the way from Australia! 🇦🇺

We’re so beyond excited to have Paul joining us this year, as we know it’s going to be a powerful time!

Leading our workshops this year we also have the Founders of Asaph’s Journal Timothy & Misty Scott to share with us in some inspiring sessions on Leadership & Worship.

Stay tuned, campers! 📢 We'll be sharing more updates soon, so keep your eyes peeled and get ready for an unforgettable camp experience. 🏕️✨
