Pastor's Easter Sunday Morning Sermon Title: "The King who couldn't sleep"

Our subject is the "The Providence of God in the Book of Esther?

An entire Jewish population was saved from Deicide all because the King couldn't sleep, and read a Book instead.

Who kept the King from sleeping?

What did the King read that saved the nation of Israel?

Our Scripture reading will be from the Book of Esther Chapter 3:1-9, chapter 6:1

7. Do we come by faith or by the Spirit?
8. Does faith & repentance (both are necessary) Come from us or from God?
9. Is coming to Christ an invitation or a commandment?

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU'RE FEET ARE SLIPPING

This week's message was taken from Psalms 73:2-3

"But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked." (vv 2-3)

The subject is the Psalmists reflections on the justice of God in His Providential dealing with the Righteous and the wicked.

The text shows how the thinking of Asaph became disoriented and how he got his mind straightened out and then glorified God.

It shows that no matter what transpires God is perfectly just. There is no injustice in God. His Righteousness is unassailable.
