Strong and safe families. Children’s rights. Prevention of Human trafficking. Projects currently run under the LDD/Lutheran Christian Foundation are as follows:
Home of Praise
- a nursery placed under the highway, at the heart of Klong Toey community in Bangkok. The nursery provides safe and loving care for underprivileged children age 6 months- 4 years. The aim of the nursery is to provide a holistic education- helping each child to develop socially and emotionally as well as academically. In addition to this, the nursery help to prepare the children for beginning pre-school. Home of Grace
- a safe home for mothers-to-be and those that have given birth, in addition to women in difficult situations who need shelter. In Home of Grace women get care, love, work training, counselling and help to find a good solution for themselves and their baby. Home of Grace aims that everyone who leave the place, will have a valuable better life and a hope for their future. Local fundraising in Home of Grace:

Home of Grace also sell handicraft and up-cycled soaps ,”Soap for hope”. Strong and safe families
The aim with this project is to implement the Diakonia Department’s 3 focus areas, into all our projects, ELCT congregations and their neighbourhood, by arranging camps and trainings all over Thailand. This will be done in co-operation with local ELCT congregations and local authorities. We believe that by working with the families, to make them strong and safe, will make our communities stronger. Saturday club
-gives children in local villages a safe and good place to stay during Saturdays, while their parents are off to work. Children will get lunch every time and opportunity to participate in different activities. We focus among others on Children’s rights, local traditions and culture, the environment etc. It is the local churches who run the clubs, with support from LDD. Hope for families (HFF)
- support underprivileged families. HFF’s main focus is to help and support children and youth to go to school. LDD aims though supporting education, to give children and youth a better future for themselves and their families. In addition to this, the project gives milk support to small children. Health care in Nan
-a project run by Dr Rovasova who is a doctor and missionary from Madagascar . She lives and work in Nan province in Northern Thailand. Dr Rova gives training to church workers in different mountain villages (Lua hill tripe) about health issues, basic medicines and basic care and she visits sick people in the villages. Dr. Rova has a special focus on mothers-to-be, sharing milk to them and give them advises, when the baby is born the mothers will receive a baby box including necessary items.
