IF GRACE IS AN OCEAN, WE’RE ALL SINKING.
Grace is not a small drop of mercy that barely covers our mistakes. Grace is an ocean. It is deeper than our failures, greater than our shame, and stronger than the chains of our past.
We don’t deserve it.
We can’t earn it.
We can only receive it.
The world tells us to prove ourselves, earn our worth, and become good enough to be accepted. But the Gospel tells us something completely different:
You don’t have to earn what Jesus already paid for.
The cross reminds us that our salvation was never based on how perfect we could become,it was based on how perfectly Jesus loved us.
“Where sin increased, grace increased all the more.
Romans 5:20
But grace is not permission to remain the same.
Grace saves us, then changes us.
Grace forgives us, then transforms us.
Grace meets us where we are, but it refuses to leave us there.
So yes,we’re sinking.
Not because we are drowning in condemnation, but because we are completely overwhelmed by the depth of His grace.
