🌳 “ #ต้นโพธิ์ - #ความเชื่อตามกาลเวลา กับ #ความจริงเหนือกาลเวลา”
ในทางวิทยาศาสตร์
ต้นโพธิ์เป็นไม้ยืนต้นขนาดใหญ่
มีรากที่แผ่กว้างและแข็งแรง
จึงไม่เหมาะปลูกใกล้อาคาร
เพราะอาจกระทบโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน
ในขณะเดียวกัน
สังคมไทยมีความเชื่อว่า
ไม่ควรปลูกต้นโพธิ์ไว้ในบ้าน
ทั้งด้วยเหตุผลด้านกายภาพ
และความรู้สึกถึงความศักดิ์สิทธิ์
แต่ในพุทธกาล
ต้นโพธิ์เป็น “สถานที่หนึ่ง”
ที่ #การตื่นรู้ ได้เกิดขึ้น
ไม่ใช่เพราะต้นไม้
แต่เพราะการเห็นความจริงตามที่เป็น
เมื่อความเชื่อเปลี่ยนไปตามกาลเวลา
คำถามจึงยังคงอยู่เหนือกาลเวลา
เรากำลังยึดถือตัว “ต้นไม้”
ที่มีความเชื่อแตกต่างหลากหลายไปตามกาลเวลา
หรือกำลังมองเห็น “ความจริง”
ที่ครั้งหนึ่ง เคยปรากฏขึ้นภายใต้ร่มเงานั้น
ความจริงซึ่งยังคงปรากฏอยู่เหนือกาลเวลา
🌳 The Bodhi Tree - Changing Beliefs, Timeless Truth
From a scientific perspective,
the Bodhi tree is a large, long-lived tree
with wide, strong roots.
It is not suited to be planted near buildings,
as it may affect structural foundations.
At the same time,
in Thai society, there is a belief
that the Bodhi tree should not be planted within the home,
both for practical reasons
and a sense of sacredness.
Yet, in the time of the Buddha,
the Bodhi tree was simply “a place”
where awakening occurred.
Not because of the tree itself,
but because of seeing reality as it is.
As beliefs change over time,
the question remains beyond time:
Are we holding on to “the tree”,
shaped by changing beliefs,
or are we seeing “the truth”
that once arose beneath its shade —
a truth that remains beyond time?
