Phra Mongkol Woropakarn," or "Luang Pho Chamnan Uttamapanyo," is the abbot of Wat Chinnawararam Worawihan
(Royal Temple) in Mueang District, Pathum Thani Province.
He is a renowned monk of Pathum Thani.
He is a monk who practices righteousness, has excellent moral conduct, and has always been compassionate towards his disciples.
As his home was near Wat Bang ku di thong, his childhood life revolved around the temple. It could be said that most of his life was spent in the temple, as he would regularly serve Luang Pu Surin Rewato (Phra Khru Pathumthamnusit), the abbot of Wat Bang ku di thong at that time.
This caused Luang Pu Surin to have love and kindness towards him from a young age.
After completing primary school, Luang Pu Surin ordained him as a novice at the age of 14. After his ordination as a novice, he served closely with Luang Pu Surin and learned about the rules of conduct and various knowledge from Luang Pu Surin. Luang Pu Surin also learned various magical arts from his teacher, particularly the Mon-Raman lineage, namely "Than Chao Khun Raman Muni of Wat Bang Luang, Pathum Thani Province." Luang Pho Chamnan therefore received the knowledge directly from Luang Pu Surin Rewato.
whenever you visit Luang Por at the temple, you'll notice that the image behind him, where he's sitting, depicts the teachers who bestowed his knowledge and expertise. He considers gratitude an important virtue, as it demonstrates goodness and character, a person respected, admired, and revered by the world.
"Gratitude" means knowing goodness, and "gratitude" means finding a way to repay others' kindness.
Whoever has goodness and virtue toward us, a good person is naturally bound to be grateful.
As the poem goes, "Gratitude and knowing one's kindness are extremely important. This is the principle of a good person who possesses it all. Repay them appropriately
Luang Por Chamnan was skilled in both tattooing and takrut making. He studied under Ajahn Yu, a disciple of Luang Por Chong of Wat Nang Thong Nok in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. Ajahn Yu told Luang Por that if he wanted to acquire such magical knowledge, he should examine a rotting co**se and see it as one that didn't smell like a log. This practice would yield results. Luang Por's mind was calm and still, especially his gait, which was light and seemingly unmarked. Even with today's advanced technology, he strangely didn't even own a radio or television.
It is well known among his disciples that he is truly powerful. His sacred objects have performed miracles and helped countless people, both domestically and internationally. He was formerly the abbot of Wat Bang Kudi Thong, not far from Wat Chinnawararam. Since assuming the position in 1996, he has renovated the entire temple and constructed numerous permanent structures, transforming it into the magnificent temple it remains today. He has also promoted the education of monks, novices, and temple disciples, providing scholarships to students of all ages.
On August 12, 2016, which was the most gracious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's 7th cycle, 84th birthday
Luang por received the royal title of Phra Mongkhon Worapakarn
Also known as Chao Khun Chamnan
