(CONTINUE FROM MATTHEW.7:1)
======================
Jesus said, "Judge not, that you be not judge.
When people read this statement , they think that they are never to say anything to another person about the way thhe individual is living.
In their view, this would be judging , and Jesus said not to judge.
But Paul say's, "but he who is spiritual judges all things.... (1Cor.2:15,NKJ) Paul goes on to teach that we should judge those among us who claim to be Christians. but are living evil lives (See1Cor.5:11-13).
Now there seems to be a coflict between the statements of Jesus and Paul.
But on closer examination, we find that they are talking about different things.
Jesus is talking bout judging a person's motives, while Paul is talking about judging a person's actions. Unless God reveals them to us, we don't know a person's motives.
We don't know why they do given things, We don't know what's in ther hearts.
And we should not judge them in this respect. But we are to judge people's actions by the WWord of God.
So, if a person claims to be Christian but iving in an evil ways, we have a responsibility to deal with that situatio according to the Scripture.
Othewise, the Church could not function as light and salt.
Have a nice day. God bless you.
