Offering the Tai tham Tipiṭaka to MCU Ceremony
We, on behalf of kurukruba sarm Mahathera,, the member of Sangha council of Shan State (bhidhajaaggamaahsaddhamamjotika), the highest chairman of the Education Committee, Wat Ratchathan Luang Hua Kwang, Chiang Tung City, would like to present the Tai Tham Tipitaka, which are widely disseminated letters from the Lan Na and Lan Chang Kingdoms, five regions currently comprising Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, Thailand; Chiang Thong, Luang Prabang, Laos; Chiang Rung, Yunnan Province, China; Chiang Tung, Eastern Shan State, Myanmar. These were compiled from the Tipitaka manuscript of Wat Chiang Tung, Mueang Ma City, taking place since the year 2543 (2000), comparing with the Chatsangkayanaka manuscript of Burma and that of MCU University. Due to the incomplete nature of the Lan Na manuscript, many parts are missing. Furthermore, the Stone Tipiṭaka, the third in the world, was created at Shwe da gon, Tachileik, Chiang Tung, Shan State, Myanmar, and presented to MCU University. The Sangha of Chiang Tung has a long-standing relationship with diplomatic, educational, artistic, and cultural ties with MCU University, spanning from the previous time to the present. Many monks from Chiang Tung have come to study at MCU University.

I also pay my respects to the Most Venerable Phra Maha Surasak Paccantaseno, Asst. Prof. Dr., Vice rector for foreign Affairs MCU University, along with the university's administrators, faculty, and staff as well as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phra Mahayuttana Narachettho, Ph.D. 9, Head, the Department of Buddhist Studies, Director of the Doctoral of philosophy in Tripitaka Studies, Faculty of Buddhism. We are profoundly delighted and blessed that the Most Venerable Phra Maha Surasak, Assoc. Prof. Dr., Vice rector for foreign Affairs MCU University, graciously presided over the ceremony of Tai Tham Tipitaka today MCU University, Lam Sai Sub-district, Wang Noi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, as a valuable source of academic knowledge in the future study.

ฉบับบาลี และ โวหาร แด่ มจร / ฉบับพม่า แด่คณะพุทธศาสตร์ สาขาพระไตรปิฎกศึกษา
ตามที่พระคุรุครูบาสาม โชติกะมหาเถร เจ้าอาวาสวัดหลวงหัวข่วง และ ประธานสูงสุดฝ่ายการศึกษา นครเชียงตุง รัฐฉาน ประเทศสาธารณรัฐแห่งสหภาพเมียนมาร์ มีความประสงค์มอบถวายพระไตรปิฎก ฉบับภาษาธรรม (เซียงตุง) บาลี/และโวหาร ซึ่งเป็นอักษรที่แพร่หลายในยุคอาณาจักรล้านนา-ล้านช้าง ๕ เชียง ๔ แผ่นดินในปัจจุบัน คือ เชียงใหม่ เชียงราย ประเทศไทย, เชียงทอง หลวงพระบาง สปป. ลาว, เชียงรุ้ง สิบสองปันนาประเทศจีน, เชียงตุง รัฐฉานตะวันออก เมียนมาร์ อันได้จัดทำจาก คัมภีร์ใบลานฉบับตัวธรรมของ วัดเชียงตุ้ง เมืองม้า โดยการนำมาของ พระครูบาสาม อดีตเจ้าอาวาสวัดพระธาตุหลวงจอมคำ นครเชียงตุง ...ตั้งแต่ปี ๒๕๔๓ (2000) โดยเทียบเคียบกับ ฉบับฉัฏฐสังคายนาของพม่า และ ของ มจร.... เนื่องจาก คัมภีร์ใบลาน ไม่สมบูรณ์ครบถ้วน ขาดไปหลายฉบับด้วยกัน ...อีกทั้งยังได้สร้างพระไตรปิฎกหินอ่อน แห่งที่ ๓ ของโลก ณ พระธาตุฉ่วยตะโก่ง ท่าขี้เหล็ก รัฐฉาน เมียนมาร์ แก่มหาวิทยาลัยมหาจุฬาลงกรณราชวิทยาลัย
และเจ้าคุณรตนรังสี (พระครูบาแสงหล้า ธมฺมสิริ ดร. กิตติมศักดิ์) อภิธะชะอัคคมหาสัทธัมมโชติกะมหาบัณฑิตะ วัดพระธาตุสายเมือง ท่าขี้เหล็ก ประธานจัดทำพระไตรปิฎกฉบับภาษาธรรม และคณะสงฆ์เซียงตุง คณะสงฆ์ เชียงตุงมีความสัมพันธไมตรีทางการทูต ด้านพระพุทธศาสนา การศึกษาและศิลปะวัฒนธรรมมาเป็นระยะเวลายาวนาน นับจากอดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน มีพระสงฆ์เซียงตุงเดินทางมาเพื่อศึกษาที่มหาวิทยาลัยมหาจุฬาลงกรณราชวิทยาลัยเป็นจำนวนมาก เพื่อไว้เป็นที่ศึกษาขอมูลทางวิชาการสืบไป
