*INCUBATION TODAY (BRO EMMA)*

*TOPIC: THE LORD GOD OF ELIJAH*

*WEDNESDAY 5TH JULY, 2023*

*Meditation:*

*“And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.” (2 kings 2:14)*

*Today’s Text: 2 kings 2:11-15:*

Elijah had known the God of Heaven and did all the wonders and miracles he did by the power of God but here was his servant who has followed him all these years. Elisha was at a point where he did not know what to do, he exclaimed, “Where is the Lord God of Elijah?” What did Elisha mean by this? He wanted to experience the same power of God that Elijah experienced; He was hungry to work the same power. This denotes spiritual hunger. Where is the Lord God in my church? Where is the Lord God in my business? Where is the Lord God in my family?
Only one with spiritual hunger, one who has experienced the power of God in times past and desires it again can ask this question. This is the essence of studying the word of God. If the power of God operated in the times of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, in the ministry of Jesus Christ and the likes of Apostle Paul, what prevents it from happening now? When you read the word of God about these miracles what do you think as a child of God? Somebody has to provoke anointing and that is why he asked the question “where is the Lord God of Elijah?” The God that Elijah worshipped. The Lord God that Elijah called and fire came down from Heaven, the Lord God of Elijah that fed him by the ravens until the brook dried up, the lord God that sent him to Zarephath, the Lord God that used Elijah to raise the dead.
Whenever you read the word of God, do you read it as history or does something well up in your inward parts demanding a repetition of what you are reading. “Where is the Lord God of Elijah?” Is the language of a revolutionist, somebody who wants something to happen. They that hunger and thirst after righteousness, after miracles, after spirituality… are you hungry for a miracle? God is a God of constant character, in Him there is no variableness. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He will always do what He used to do. The Lord God of Elijah has not gone on transfer; He is still seated on the throne. Call upon Him and He will manifest.

*Prayer:*

*1.Pray that the Lord will visit you with power today.*

*Confession:*

*God has always been here and He will always be. I will wait on Him for my manifestation, amen.*

*Further study:*

*Malachi 3:6:*

*“For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.”*

*Hebrews 13:8:*

*“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”*

*Job 42:2:*

*“I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.”*

*INCUBATION TODAY (BRO EMMA OKORIE)*

*TOPIC: BE BOLD, DOUBT NOT*

*TUESDAY 4TH JULY, 2023*

*Meditation:*

*“Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” (Mark 11:24)*

*Today’s Text: Mark 11:22-24:*

The Lord Jesus has given us power to make decrees but oftentimes we look down on ourselves, we say, "Who am I to declare this thing? What if it doesn't happen” we are afraid to release the word of God because we are not sure what we decree will come to pass. But the word of God is nigh our mouth, it is the authority of all who believe in God.
Speak to mountains that have encumbered you, obstacles on your way. You cannot enter your refreshing except you decree. Make up your mind, don't perambulate, don't junket, be stable and say something in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Doubt kills; it makes one unstable in all his ways. You don’t know the one to follow, everyone that speaks makes sense to you, you don’t have a direction. You ask questions like, “Is God really God? Can He really do what He says? Does He have all the power?” When you make a decree you don't look at that thing but stand on the authority of God and look at Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of everything.
Before you make a decree you must believe. Believe your prayer, believe the order you are giving. Don't say it because others are saying it, say it because you are convinced it is the authority of God and it must come to pass. There is a force in the word of God, the force of the spoken word. It is creative, powerful, quick, sharp and can go to places you cannot go. Release it and the angels will run at your bidding. You will become a wonder to them that hear you.

*Prayer:*

*1.Pray for the grace to set your gaze upon the cross and not to be distracted by the size of your problem.*

*Confession:*

*I walk in faith today for Jesus has taken away fear and doubt from me.*

*Further study:*

*James 1:6:*

*“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.”*

*Matthew 21:21:*

*“Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.”*

*Proverbs 28:1:*

*The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.*

*INCUBATION TODAY (BRO EMMA OKORIE)*

*TOPIC: REPAIR YOUR ALTAR*

*WEDNESDAY 28TH JUNE, 2023*

*Meditation:*

*“And Elijah said unto all the people, come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him and he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down.” (1Kings 18:30)*

*Today’s Text: 1 Kings 18: 19-39*

The prayer altar is a place where we meet and interact with God. God has made interaction with Him easy by making us the temple of the Holy Spirit. *1Corinthians 3:16* “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” This means we can interact with God anywhere and at any time. We are the altar of God. When we don’t repair and clean out our altar, which is your heart, it becomes dirty. We must therefore constantly repair our altar which is within us. How clean is your altar? Look at yourself critically, through the mirror of the word of God, and ask yourself, ‘What repairs do I have to make on my altar? What do I need to do in my life so that my prayers will be answered?’ The battle of life can only be won when our alter is made, and devoid of every contamination.
*Romans 12:1*
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” To present yourself is to come clean, without sin, before God. You can pretend before people, but you cannot deceive God. Psalms 139:23-24, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” You know yourself more than any other person, you need the truth in the inward man to be made clean.
God says in Isaiah 59:1-2, “Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” Let us repair our altars. When we do this, God’s fire will fall. His fire cannot fall on defamed altars. If your prayer must receive immediate answers, repair your altar now.

*Prayer:*

*1.Ask the Spirit of God to reveal to you those areas of your life you need to make amends so you can present a clean altar before the Lord.*

*Confession:*

*I resolve to repair my altar today; I receive the grace to maintain an uncontaminated alter before the Lord.*

*Further study:*

*Psalms 51:10:*

*“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”*

*2 Chronicles 7: 14:*

*“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”*

*1John 1:9:*

*“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”*

*INCUBATION TODAY (BRO EMMA OKORIE)*

*TOPIC:EXAMINE YOURSELVES WHETHER YE BE IN FAITH (1)*

*MONDAY 22ND MAY, 2023*

*Meditation:*

*Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove not your own selves, know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates. (2 Corinthians 13:5)*

*Today's Text: 2 Corinthians 13:59:*

One who is born again has the mind of Christ, he no longer sees or thinks the way the world thinks, he sees and thinks through the eye of the Holy Ghost. Paul, on his way to Damascus, encountered Christ and his ideology changed automatically. How come you are born again but you do not see things the way God sees them?
No matter how far you think you have gone in the Lord, you must constantly examine yourself. What is the product of your Christianity? As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Matthew 7: 22-23, “Many will say to me in the day. Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Imagine that after casting out demons you turn around and walk in iniquity. The people that Jesus told to examine themselves were not unbelievers, an unbeliever has nothing to examine. Jesus was speaking to children of God like you and me. This journey requires constant examination and introspection, especially as the day draws near. Examine yourself, don't assume.
A lot of people feel that they are Christians but they are not any longer. They feel they make sense but they don't, they have turned the word of God into mockery. Are we reading the Bible? Yes! But how much of it is influencing our lives? Examine yourself, don't forget what kind of man you are in righteousness, in holiness, in power, in anointing and faith. It is only when you know the kind of man you are in Christ that you will be able to achieve something extraordinary. Are you conscious of eternal life? Are you conscious that Jesus is coming again?

*Prayer:*

*1.Pray that the mind of Christ be in you.*

*Confession:*

*I am a believer; I have the mind of Christ.*

*Further Study:*

*Lamentations 3:40 (NLT):*

*"Instead let us test and examine our ways. Let us tum back to the Lord."*

*James 1:23-25:*

*“For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass. For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whose locketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work. this man shall be blessed in his deed.”*

*1 Corinthians 11:28:*

*“But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.”*

*INCUBATION TODAY (BRO EMMA OKORIE)*

*TOPIC: WALK BY FAITH*

*FRIDAY 12TH MAY, 2023*

*Meditation:*

*“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians. 5:7)*

*Today’s Text: 2 Corinthians 5:5-7*

The believer who lives by faith, ‘goes on, unto perfection’ (Hebrews 6:1). But the believer who lives by sight, will “draw back unto perdition” (Hebrews 10: 39). To walk by faith means to believe and obey God’s word. It means to trust and obey God like our father Abraham, “…who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations according to that, which was spoken, so shall thy seed be” (Romans 4:18). When you walk by faith, you are fully persuaded that what God has promised, He is also able to perform. Walk by faith today, and see God perform His promise in your life.
The believer who lives by sight will draw back to perdition. The word ‘perdition’ means destruction and waste. God expects you to walk by faith and be saved, not to walk by sight and waste your life. People who turn their backs on God’s will spend their years wandering in the wilderness of pain and sorrow. Beloved, as you walk by faith, our great God will guide you and perfect all that concerns you in Jesus’ name. Amen.

*Prayer:*

*1.Pray that the Lord will help you to walk with Him by faith and not by sight.*

*Confession:*

*Lord, I receive power, by your spirit, to walk by faith unto perfection, not by sight unto perdition.*

*Further Studies:*

*1 Peter 1:8:*

*“Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.”*

*Hebrews 11:6:*

*“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”*

*Numbers 13:30:*

*“And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.”*

*INCUBATION TODAY (BRO EMMA OKORIE)*

*TOPIC: IF YOU CONTINUE IN MY WORD*

*THURSDAY 11TH MAY, 2023*

*Meditation:*

*Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed in him, if ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed, and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:31-32)*

*Today’s Text: John 8:30-36*

Who is a disciple? A disciple is one who believes and continues in God's word. Continuing in the word of God makes you a disciple indeed and also makes you to know the truth that will set you free. Mediate on the word of God, day and night. "Then said Jesus to those who believe in Him," do you believe in Him? Then, this message is for you, "If you continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed and ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." Jesus has revealed the secret of freedom to those who believe in Him, continue in the word, become a disciple indeed, know the truth and be free. The word of God is the truth that sets captives free, heals the sick, and gives life to those who find it. The entrance of the word of God gives light. Continue in the word of God and you will know the truth and the truth shall set you free. Fellowship with the word is the doorway to freedom, and until you know the truth, there is no freedom for you. Everything you need in life is obtained and sustained by the truth of the word of God. Know the truth today and experience a turnaround in your life in Jesus' name.

*Prayer:*

*Pray that the Lord will help you to continue in His word, that you may be His disciple indeed.*

*Confession:*

*Lord, I receive the grace to continue in your word and be a true disciple of yours.*

*Further study:*

*John 17:17*

*“Make them pure and holy through teaching them your words of truth.”*

*Psalms 119:43:*

*“May I never forget your words, for they are my only hope.”*

*2 Timothy 3:14:*

*“But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them."*
